16 Select proper resin for Rimatt RC7235 application It is necessary to select proper resin for Rimatt RC7235. Resin of 50/50 is our first choice, also 60/40 is nice one, but we don t suggest to use resin of 70/30. Due to different catalysts inside the resins, it can affect the reaction speed ratio and affect the final gloss. We recommend to use resin which has slow reaction speed and low viscosity. ShenJian company:sj3b(50/50) TianSong company:6700(60/40) Resin is the most important factor for Rimatt RC7235 application, so the powder manufacturer should select the proper resin before production.

17 Indentification and Safety Data of Rimatt RC68 As per our experience, in the large production, we suggest, better to lower the first zone of the extrusion temperature to between C and the second zone to C in order to get better effect. The rotating speed of the extruder should be slower relatively.

The mechanical property of large production of powder coating is better than lab tests. It can obtain the lowest gloss in the black powder.

Conclusion:Under the same baking temperature, the volatile of Rimatt RC7235 is less than Rimatt RC68.

23 Economy of Rimatt RC68 Vs Rimatt RC7235 From the initial formulation,less use of epoxy resins than Rimatt RC68. Lower dosage than Rimatt RC68. For example in formulation(rc68 VS RC7235) (1)260kg polyester resin(50/50) can replace about 260kg epoxy resin E-12 The cost of powder per ton can save about 260(A-B)/ MT A= E-12 price B=Polyester resin price (2)40kg RC7235 can replace 56kg RC68 The cost of powder per ton can save about 56C 40D C= RC68 price D=RC7235 price Conclusion: The costs of powder per ton can be saved more than the sum of the above two costs.

The mechanical property of large production powder coating is better than lab test. In the black powder, it can obtain the lower gloss than in in light shade powder.

Preparation of about 300g matt powder coating. The powder is divided into 7 parts are placed in 43 C constant temperature box. Different time tests on gloss (60,%) Conclusion: Gloss changes is better than others local products. Gloss from the sixth day were slightly worse, should be in an acceptable range.

36 Acrylic Resins for Matting Powder Coatings Acrylic resins is a glycidyl-functional acrylic hardener designed to produce low gloss, exterior-durable polyester powder coatings. Benefits include consistent gloss, smooth matte appearance and dependable performance. One-shot low gloss coatings can be produced by using acrylic resins in conjunction with acid value polyesters. Standard polyester resins used for TGIC, HAA, GMA or Araldite PT-910 powder coatings are well suited for use with acrylic resins.
