3 IN COMPOSITES PRODUCTS AND SERVICES METYX Composites manufactures a wide range of high-performance technical textiles: multiaxial reinforcements, RTM reinforcements, woven reinforcements, vacuum bagging products, and surface veils. Only certified raw materials are used, and all manufacturing processes strictly adhere to ISO 9001:2008 standards. All products are manufactured at the company s 24,000-square meter, state-of-the art facilities in Istanbul and Manisa, Turkey and 12,000-square meter new manufacturing center in Kaposvar, Hungary. METYX Composites also offers R&D and laboratory services as well as comprehensive tooling and kitting services. ME- TYX Composites Tooling Center specializes in composite tooling, prototyping, and pattern and plug production services. METYX Composites Kitting Center focuses on core materials kits (PVC, PET, balsa, polyurethane), as well as reinforcement and vacuum consumable kits. Additionally, METYX Composites delivers consulting services and technical training. These layers are held in place by a non-structural stitching thread, which is generally a polyester yarn. 10 ENHANCING Surface Veil Product Group METYX Composites surface veils are non-woven, polyester fabrics. They are used to produce smooth, resin-rich, protective surfaces. All of our surface veils are characterized by uniform fiber distribution; consistent tensile strength; smooth, soft surface; compatibility with all commonly used resin systems; and rapid wet-out. 11 SURFACES Woven Fabrics and Tapes WOVEN FABRICS METYX Composites woven fabrics are made by interweaving continuous fiber rovings to produce biaxial fabrics that can be used with most resin systems. Woven fabrics are typically used in the marine, wind energy, automotive, aerospace, and sports and leisure industries to increase the flexural and impact strength of laminates. WOVEN TAPES METYX Composites woven tapes are comprised of strands of fiberglass that are woven into a narrow band. They are used to better stabilize the edges of fabrics. Woven Roving Tapes are typically used in the marine, wind energy, automotive, aerospace, and sports and leisure industries. 11

13 BAGGING SYSTEMS PA80R1 TM The PA80R1 Range is engineered to have superior peel properties due to a unique proprietary step in the production process. It is 100 percent polyamide, washed, and heat fixed. PA80R1 gives texture to the surface of high-performance laminates, which significantly improves adhesion in secondary bonding or painting of the laminate surface. It also eliminates the need for any sanding or abrading of the surface in preparation for these processes. PA80R1 is an easy way to decrease cost at the workshop level, increase productivity, and produce high quality parts with a smooth surface finish. BREATHER FABRIC Breather fabric is a lightweight, absorbent, non-woven polyester fabric that provides a path for air to be removed within the vacuum bag while maintaining the vacuum consistently throughout the mold, all of which helps consolidate the laminate. Breather fabric also absorbs excess resin. Product Range: three standard weights of 150 gr/m2, 200 gr/m2, and 300 gr/m2 FLOW MESH Flow mesh is a low profile, knitted fabric designed to evenly and efficiently distribute resin during the vacuum infusion process. It also provides consistent air evacuation. 13
