BIOGRO - A high-quality UGF Product for today's profit-minded poultry manager Dawe's BIOGRO has long been established as a market leader for Unidentified Growth Factors. Its superior performance is the direct result of over 30 years of research and development in our own laborcrtories. Over the years BIOGRO has been improved and refined until today it is regarded by many as the finest UGF product available. Field tests, University trials and flock reports from several countries indicate that BIOGRO IMPROVES feed efficiency and production, while LOWERING the cost to produce meat and eggs. What are UGF's? Several feedstuffs contain Unidentified Growth Factors (UGF). These ingredients improve rates of gain or feed efficiency more than expected from their known nutrient values. Among ingredients that, depending on their purity, can contain UGF are fish meal and solubles, whey, meat meal, and a number of fermentation by-products. But the buyer must be careful fermented distillers' by-products, for instance, contain much less UGF than other industrial fermentation byproducts. BIOGRO is a carefully blended compound of several effective fermentation factors. Its UGF benefits are supplied in a fine-textured, free-flowing feed supplement, easy to incorporate into your feeding program. Dawes Laboratories USA has long been involved in University controlled tests to pinpoint the benefits of BIOGRO. Tests at the University of Georgia and the University of Illinois support field trial report: Faster growth rates More eggs or meat per bird Improved feed efficiency TABLE 1 /0 Egg Prod Week 5 Improved energy use in low energy diets Lower mortality rates Reduced feed costs Synergistic with fishmeal Particular benefit for molting birds Dawe's BIOGRO and DV Egg Fortifier chalk up impressive results FLOCK A Note: Birds were housed late (41.5% Production) so some eggs were not counted Over 312 eggs per bird in 60 weeks! Laid over 90% / hen housed for 5 weeks. Laid over 80% / hen housed for 17 weeks. Over 90% livability after 60 weeks. FLOCK B Some producers prefer to purchase their BIOGRO in the form of a fishmeal analog, BIOGRO SUPER' BIOGRO SUPER is a feed supplement that can replace poorquality fishmeal or help to conserve supplies of high-quality fishmeal. Table I shows the capabilities of BIOGRO when combined with DV Egg Fortifier, manufactured by Dawe's Laboratories USA. These are actual flock records from satisfied customers who believe in the outstanding benefits and profits that BIOGRO provides. 0/0 Egg Prod Over 305 eggs per bird in 60 weeks. Laid over 90% / hen housed for 8 weeks. Laid over 80% / hen housed for 23 weeks. 92.5% livability after 59 weeks. These birds were cart fed - 2 x daily and laid through a cold upper midwest winter

BIOGRO improves broiler performance TABLE , BROILER FIELD TRIAL FISHMEAL, HIGH-ENERGY COST OF FEED US $ / LB. LIVEWEIGHT BIOGRO in fishmeal diets In a Southeastern U.S. field trial, BIOGRO was tested against 72% Norwegian fishmeal in high-energy broiler rations (starter: 1470 Cal/lb M.E.; grower: 1500 Cal/lb; and finisher: 1530 Cal/lb). One treatment of 2325 broiler chicks contained 72% fishmeal added to the diets at 5% (starter), 3% (grower), and 0% (finisher). The second treatment contained fishmeal at the rates above, plus BIOGRO at 0.25% in each diet, The results, summarized in Table 2, indicate BIOGRO improves performance oven in diets already rich in high-quality fishmeal. The cost of feed decreased 3.07% when 72% fishmeal was added to the diet, and 4.22% when BIOGRO was added to the fishmeal ration In areas where high-protein, high-quality fishmeal is not always available, broiler producers often use BIOGRO SUPER', a 54% fishmeal-analog, containing the full UGF power of BIOGRO. TABLE 3 BROILER FIELD TRIAL LOWER-ENERGY FINAL AVG. WEIGHT (LBS.) COST OF FEED US $ / LB. LIVEWEIGHT 17,20 BIOGRO in lower-energy diets Broiler rations often have energy levels lower than those of the feeds in the field trial reported above. So another trial was conducted at the same U.S. broiler producer. Again, straight-run, Hubbard x Hubbard chicks were used. Now they were offered lower-energy stcu ter, grower and finisher feeds: 1370, 1400, and 1430 Cal/lb M.E As in the earlier trial, BIOGRO improved both feed efficiency and feed cost/lb of liveweight. And improvement was even more marked in final average weight of the birds, with the BIOGRO treatment gaining 4.90% more liveweight (Table 3). Whether the diets were low- or highenergy, and whether top quality fishmeal was or was not added to the rations, BIOGRO improved performance in both commercial broiler field trials.

University of Georgia study supports BIOGRO Pf fertveness At leading Universities across the country, the positive performance of BIOGRO is being researched and documented. One such trial at the University of Georgia was conducted by Dr. 0. W. Charles. An egg laying flock was divided into two groups. Dr. Charles fed one group a typical basal diet, while the other group received the same ration with 5 Ibs. of BIOGRO added. The purpose of the research was to evaluate BIOGRO's effect on 1.) egg production 2.) feed efficiency 3) shell quality 4.) hen livability. TABLE 4 UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA FIELD RESEARCH 0/0 Egg Prod Period 3 5 BIOGRO CONTROL Dr. Charles found that egg production was 3.15% HIGHER for BIOGRO fed birds than for the control group. The greatest response occurred in the last six 28-day periods, (see Table 4). Average feed conversion improvement was 7.1% LESS feed needed to produce a dozen eggs when BIOGRO was added to the diet (See Table 5). Once again the greatest improvement occurred after the sixth month. There were no apparent differences in shell quality or mortality in the research, which means that the BIOGRO fed birds sent more eggs to market on less feed. TABLE 5 Egg Production ii0gro IMPROVEMENT Eggs Per Hen,10GRO IMPROVEMENT Lbs. Feed / Doz. Eggs Total Feed Consumed (Tons) CONTROL 72.25% vs BIOGRO 75.40% LESS FEED

TABLE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA REASEARCH CONFIRMS BIOGRO'S EFFECTIVENESS IN MOLTED HENS EGG PRODUCTION EGGS PER HEN BIOGRO shows favorable results in molted hens If you are considering molting hens for another year, then BIOGRO should definitely be included in the second year layer ration. In a study to confirm the effectiveness of BIOGRO in molted hens, Dr. 0. W. Charles made some interesting findings. Two groups of HYLINE hens, which had given a positive economic response to BIOGRO in the first year of production were molted, randomly assigned and fed during the second year for seven 28-day periods, pounds/doz. eggs TONS OF FEED FED (per 1000 birds) BIOGRO was fed to one group at the level of 5.0 pounds per ton while the control group was fed a simple corn-soy diet. The BIOGRO fed group showed a 1.2% improvement in egg production. Average feed conversion also improved, with 7.1% LESS feed per dozen eggs by the addition of BIOGRO to the diet. (See Table 6.)

University of Illinois studies show that high levels of BIOGRO increase effectiveness Layers that receive the recommended amount of BIOGRO (5.0 pounds/ton) will outperform birds receiving no BIOGRO or a reduced level of the product, according to a University of Illinois study (D. J. Bray). TABLE 7 UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS 33 WEEK STUDY (Part 1) EGG PRODUCTION % EGGS PER HEN Hyline W-36 laying hens were used in the production cycle study. The results were recorded for fourteen 28-day periods (392 days). The purpose of the research was to evaluate the effect on egg production, feed efficiency, shell quality and hen livability (see Table 7 and 8). BIOGRO was fed to one group at the amount of 2.5 pounds per ton, while another group was fed at the rate of 5.0 pounds per ton. These results were then evaluated against a negative control group BIOGRO treatments improved production 5.28 and 7.04% for the 2.5 and the 5.0 pounds per ton use level respectively, over the control diet. The greatest response to both levels occurred in the last 6 periods. During the last period, egg production improved by 7.6 and 13.6% respectively. TABLE 8 UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS 33 WEEK STUDY (Part 2) pounds/doz. eggs MORTALITY RATE per 100 BIRDS BIOGRO improved feed conversion. The 2.5 and 5.0 pound BIOGRO fed groups required 0.16 and 0.24 fewer pounds of feed per dozen eggs. Mortality was significantly lower (55% less) in the 5 pound per ton treatment group, with no significant change in the other groups. BIOGRO had no effect on shell quality

Profitability of BIOGRO confirmed in Arkansas Field Trial TABLE 9 ARKANSAS FIELD TRIAL 33 WEEKS EGG PRODUCTION % EGGS PER HEN Reported Arkansas layer trials (33 weeks) show that hens receiving feeds containing BIOGRO produced MORE eggs on LESS feed than did the control group. For the field trial a flock of DeKcdb 231 layers was divided into two equal groups of 28,728. The control group was fed a typical corn-soy ration, while the other group was fed the same ration with 5 pounds of BIOGRO added. Table 9 graphically illustrates the improved performance of the BIOGRO group pounds/doz. eggs TONS OF FEED FED 1154 Averaged over the 33 wocks, control hens produced 7 fewer eggs and required 0.17% more feed per dozen eggs produced than the flock receiving feed supplemented with BIOGRO In other words: More eggs on less feed
