16 ASSISTANT TOWNSHIP MANAGER S REPORT Permit Manager is working out well. We are now running Permit Manager reports to coincide with the permit fee deposits. We can track not only the deposits but do comparisons on fees received and costs to the township more accurately. 2. I have prepared a Resolution for the adoption of the revised permit Fee Schedule. I previously provided the Board with a copy of the proposed fee changes. The proposed changes are to cover the Township s fees associated with permits. Accordingly, at this time I would ask for a motion from the Board to adopt Resolution * approving the said revisions to the Fee Schedule. (See attached)* BOS MOTION: I HEREBY MAKE A MOTION TO ADOPT RESOLUTION REVISING THE THORNBURY TOWNSHIP GENERAL FEE SCHEDULE. 3. I attended the Auditor s Exit Conference with Tom Lilly, Jeff and Peter on January 21, We are now waiting for a letter from the state to confirm the findings of the auditors. At that time we may take any action we feel is necessary. 4. I met with Jeff and Lisa on January 27, 2009 to go over various items including procedures on back invoicing developers. 5. I have prepared and filed the PennDot Liquid Fuel Fund Actual Use Report which was due January 30, The said report was reviewed by Peter prior to submission electronically. (See attached). 6. Liz and I electronically filed the Thornbury Township Municipality Report of Elected and Appointed Officials (DCED-CLGS-19) and Municipal Tax Information Form (DCED-CLGS-2565) with the DCED as required. These forms were due on January 15, I am presently working with Cindy and Stella of Leitzell and Economides who are preparing the 2007 and 2008 audits. 8. Per the Board s instructions I have begun to look into the possibility of leasing a new copier. Toward that end I met with Jeff Zupcic of Connected Business Solutions. I have attached a copy of his proposal. A brief overview would be that they would purchase the existing lease, return the current equipment to the appropriate party and replace it with a copier that will do black and white copies, color copies, fax and scan documents. This copier will enable us to fax documents directly from our computer. This proposal includes free toner for the entire lease term thereby saving additional fees. In addition, this proposal also includes full maintenance and repair which would mean we would no longer incur service and repair costs with KDI. The monthly cost under a 39 month lease is $1, Currently we pay the Plummers $2, per month as well as incur costs for service and supplies. This will save us approximately $ per month. 17 RESOLUTION NO. 3 OF 2009 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF THORNBURY, COUNTY OF DELAWARE, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, REVISING THE GENERAL PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE WHEREAS, the Township of Thornbury customarily adopts a Fee Schedule Resolution approving fees for the cost of permits; and WHEREAS, the Township of Thornbury desires to revise and amend any and all fee schedules previously adopted; and WHEREAS, the fees as set forth in the following Fee Schedule will be in full force and effect until such time as a revised fee schedule is approved by the Township of Thornbury. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Thornbury, County of Delaware, does hereby adopt the Fee Schedule attached hereto, incorporated herein by reference and marked as Exhibit A, by approval of this Resolution, and in doing so rescind any previously adopted fee schedules.
