2 Padua Research Archive is the repository for scientific production at the University of Padova Aim: collect, publish with open access research products of the Univeristy of Padova. 6 IRIS is an IT platform that makes it easy to collect and manage data on research activities and outputs within an organization. 5 main functions: 1) Institutional repository 2) Evaluation and review module 3) Resource Management Module 4) Expertise & Skills Module 5) Activities & Projects Module

7 1) Institutional Repository/Open Archive Module (IR/OA) The repository of the University Research Products allows the storage, consultation and enhancement of outputs reflecting its various activities. With this tool, the University has a unique and interoperable system, able to communicate with the central national and international database for the management and dissemination of publications. The module complies with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and the European Commission for Open Access (OpenAIRE).

8 2) Evaluation & Review Module (ER) The ER Module supports the process of research and scientific evaluation based on data analysis and performance indicators. It allows the management of internal evaluation cycles and supports evaluation initiatives promoted by the Ministry (e.g. REF).

9 3) Resource Management Module (RM) Collects all data that populate the world of institutional research: people, groups, skills, organizational structures, internal and external laboratories, instrumentation, scientific committees, etc.

10 4) Expertise & Skills Module (ES) is the solution available to IlOs (Industrial liaison Offices), TTOs (Technology Transfer Offices) to enhance and promote the University s competences and characteristics. This module is open to the public for consultation and it allows institutions to promote cooperation and exchange with industry and other partners.

11 5) Activities & Projects Module (AP) collects information on projects, contracts, collaborations, scientific initiatives, and all activities related to research, from proposals to final results. It allows to enter data for highlighting the scientific value, partnerships and collaborations related to a research, connecting them to the institutional research s assets (people, groups, equipment, etc..)

12 Open-source Technologies The adoption of opensource components allows the Consortium to offer a system that on the one hand benefits from the work and expertise of the entire Community of experts, on the other hand allows the customization and enhancement of the source code according to the Universities and Institutions needs. The disadvantage is that there is no communication between the different IRIS platforms of the Italian Universities.

42 ResearcherID is a global, multi-disciplinary scholarly research community where members can register for unique identifier, build a profile of their scholarly works, view citation metrics,and search for like-minded researchers.

43 ScopusID About Scopus to ORCID Import your Identifier, profile and publications. The wizard helps you find the correct Scopus profile and to confirm your publications. You can then import the identifier and list of publications into ORCID. Any changes you make will be submitted to the Feedback team to update your Scopus profile.
