9 Customer-Specific Training the education you need, however you want it While we offer a broad range of scheduled training courses for many SAP solutions and products, customers often have training requirements focused on their own specific project needs. While we offer a broad range of scheduled training courses for many SAP solutions and products, customers often have training requirements focused on their own specific project needs. Project constraints can mean the next planned event for a course doesn t fit with project timescales. Many customers also have a sizeable number of employees to train, and don t want to incur the travel costs associated with so many employees being away from home. One solution is Customer Specific Training (CST), whereby we can deliver private courses arranged at both a location and time to suit the customer, covering the right content to address the customer s specific learning needs. Who are typical CST customers? We can provide customer-specific training for all kinds of organisation using or implementing SAP software. This could be a company looking to equip its project team with SAP skills in readiness for an implementation project. Or it could be one of our implementation partners needing to update or develop their consultants skillsets. What are the benefits of CST? CST training events are usually loosely based on standard SAP course content. However, the CST approach gives us the flexibility to tailor that content in line with the customer s own requirements. For example, if a customer wants training in the processes of Accounts Receivable (AR), this could be delivered in 1 or 2 days, instead of learners having to attend 5 days of public training covering AR along with other areas not directly of interest. Alternatively the customer might be looking for topics from a number of courses to be combined into a single event. We can also combine instructor-led training with self-study elements for SAP Learning Hub customers, to come up with a blended learning approach to fit the needs of the customer. And naturally, if the customer wants a standard course but delivered at a location more convenient than an SAP training centre (avoiding unnecessary expenditure on travel), we can do that too. It may even be more appropriate to conduct the training virtually using our Virtual Live Classroom (VLC) technology, especially if attendees are based in different locations. Whatever the request, the flexible, targeted approach of CST ensures high quality training focused on content directly relevant to the customer s needs, thereby maximising return on investment. So how does CST work? The first step is for our team to discuss the exact training requirements and objectives with the customer. During this conversation we build a picture of the attendees, their backgrounds and skillsets, as well as discussing preferences for training venue (or virtual delivery), duration and timescales. Once this information is in place, a formal proposal is issued detailing course content, duration and costs. With customer agreement obtained, the appropriate instructor would then be identified and the event scheduled. What if there are only a couple of people who need training? For cases when there are only two or three people from your organization who require training, CST might not be the most cost-effective solution - and yet we may not have a public scheduled training event for the required course at a date which suits. In this case, our T for Two On- Demand schedule is a great alternative. With this option, you can request an instructor-led classroom or virtual live classroom public event on demand. We work with you to add the course to our standard public schedule in most cases all we need is two participants from your company and a minimum lead time of five weeks to arrange the class. (Note, with T for Two, the training will be a public event, delivering standard course content, where customers from other organizations may also join). October

It is critical to invest in BW/4HANA education for your employees to increase the value of your BW/4HANA implementation SAP BW/4HANA is SAP s next generation data warehouse, optimized to run only on SAP HANA. It is SAP s most powerful data warehouse to date and adds in-memory processing to provide incredible performance and new levels of simplicity. Since the arrival of the game changing SAP HANA, it was only a matter of time before BW would be reinvented to power high performance data acquisition and analytics. But BW/4HANA is about more than just speed. It has lost the complexity that was needed to support non-hana databases, meaning modelling has become simpler, which in turn has lead to greater agility. Whilst it holds on to many of the design principles first developed with classic BW, BW/4HANA is a brand new solution with a fresh approac. This means : Using the new BW/4HANA user interfaces that have been redesigned to support modelling data models and data flows, query building and administration. Working with new modelling approaches which lean heavily towards a virtualised data warehouse and mixing SQL based data models from native HANA. Using the new best practices for BW/4HANA with LSA++, instead of the old LSA Taking advantage of the staggering data integration possibilities. BW/4HANA can consume any type of data, from anywhere. You need to learn how to connect both physical and virtual data sources Understanding how to manage data temperatures. What is hot, warm, cool, cold data? We ll show you. To begin your BW/4HANA journey, a great place to start is the OpenSAP course BW/4HANA in a Nutshell. This provides a high level overview and builds a great foundation. You should then move on to develop core BW/4HANA skills by taking further SAP Education courses where you will go deeper and develop practical skills with plenty of hands-on opportunities. If you already have SAP BW experience you should follow one of our new delta courses - the detailed 5 day BW462, for those upskilling from classic (non-hana) BW, or the 2 day DBW4H for those upskilling from BW Powered by HANA. Both delta courses bring you to the same outcome: new skills in BW/4HANA so you are fully prepared to be an effective member of the project team. But what if you are completely new to BW? Stay tuned, because we are developing courses suitable for those without any SAP BW background, to cover all key areas of BW/4HANA. 12 SAP Education MENA Magazine My Digital Twin. Meet FrankE. Frank Naude, SAP Education EMEA I was recently preparing a presentation on, "Learning - The Art of the Possible". I watched some of the SAPPHIRE, Orlando replays, took an open.sap.com course and did some external research into learning and tech trends I was recently preparing a presentation on, "Learning - The Art of the Possible". I watched some of the SAPPHIRE, Orlando replays, took an open.sap.com course on Leading Edge Technologies, and did some external research into learning and tech trends. However, it was SAP s, Digital Twin concept, that really got me going. We have all heard people talk of a parallel universe and the idea that we each have a twin somewhere out there. Well, they may be right after all. The SAP video that introduced the Digital Twin idea, showed a virtual representation of an actual group of wind turbines. Using SAP Co-Pilot and Virtual Reality, the engineer could see the live, animated, virtual view of the real wind turbines, and view real-time system and analytic information for the digital twin. The engineer could identify a technical issue with one of the turbines and take immediate, informed action to fix the problem. It occurred to me right away that THIS is the digital twin I have been looking for. It was not in some imaginary parallel universe, but in a virtual one that could open a world of opportunity for me. Be patient and let me explain. Analysts says that the average size of the augmented or contingent workforce is around 30% of the total workforce. We know very little of these workplace nomads that come in and out of our businesses. When I was consulting, back in the days when Knowledge Management was a big driver of innovation, we set about to converting tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge. We built communities of experts to collaboratively craft innovative, next-practice solutions to existing problems. We tried to understand and harness the vast expertise in all those around us. I started thinking back then that it would be great if we all had a subset of our professional lives and our tacit knowledge stored in a dynamic, living, digital persona that could be plugged into any company HR or Expert system. Consultants could allow the hiring company to fully discover and share this digital persona on day one. This digital persona would be much more than a CV. It would contain a dynamic record of all formal and informal learning, knowledge and experience. The latest Coursera course you have taken, the books you have read, the videos, TED talks, blogs and so on. You read a good article - click add to persona. Read a great book - click add to persona. All stored in the cloud and immediately shareable. While we now have standards like xapi (Experience API) that are attempting to facilitate something like this, I am surprised how little we have progressed in the almost 20 years since I started getting excited about this. The Digital Persona I was imagining of has evolved into the Digital Twin that is fueled by Artificial Intelligence - the smart virtual representation of ME - what I know, and what I want to share. It just needs face and form. Well, I am thinking of my Digital Twin wrapped in a holographic form that can mimic and represent me, that can converse and share my experience and knowledge with others, almost as I do. So, here's the big plan. Once I have compiled my digital twin with a great set of carefully collected, trusted information, and a treasure trove of experience, he can go out and sell his services while I am sleeping. Ca-ching! Meet FrankE. He continuously learns in his interactions with the world and with others. He is the boundless, tireless, soon to be better version of me. He travels at the speed of the internet and can meet you in your office in New York in 5 minutes. He can also be in London at the same time. And for the older readers, yes, FrankE will go to Hollywood.

This digital golden goose is learning from others all the time. He is researching while I am sleeping. He is summarizing and feeding back to me over a cup of coffee every morning. I will be his mentor and guide and he will be my curator, informer - my midnight sleuth. If Elon Musk has anything to do with it, his neurotechnology start-up, Neuralink, could be the one to hook us up and complete the picture. FrankE and I could merge. and his always-on capability and capacity to learn and recall could become an extension of myself. Can you imagine waking up smarter than when you went to bed? I could do with some of that. Can you imagine direct H2H (Human to Human) neural communication through NFC or Wifi? Goodbye , goodbye web browser - hello direct neural internet access. Could this be the start of neuro-communism, where all can be far more equal? A herdsman in Chad or Mongolia could become an engineer, and do so in months instead of years, and I could finally play the guitar solo on Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. It all started with a look at how SAP Enable Now supports the shift in learning from formal, to social and informal learning, and on to online performance support with time-of-need learning. This was followed by a consideration of a consistent SAP Fiori UI design across all SAP Applications, and the unique S/4HANA performance support that SAP Enable Now s Web Assistant could offer to all applications. Next came Machine Learning with SAP's new Digital Assistant, called SAP Co-pilot. Great examples of Virtual, Augmented and Mixed reality for learning in the workplace followed and were thought provoking. It was then that I found my Digital Twin, FrankE, who now writes articles for me while I am sleeping or out with friends. Watch the SAP Enable Now Overview Video October

20 SAP Education MENA Magazine SAP Learning Hub Exceeds Half Million Subscribers with Over 5 Million Assignment With more than 5 million learning assignments accessed by the end of the first quarter of 2017, SAP Learning Hub is a comprehensive enablement program that offers a wide range of collaborative tools With more than 5 million learning assignments accessed by the end of the first quarter of 2017, SAP Learning Hub is a comprehensive enablement program that offers a wide range of collaborative tools and educational content designed to provide SAP software users with the tools for success. Launched as a full-scale cloud-based offering, SAP Learning Hub is the largest learning platform used worldwide to learn about SAP software. The platform provides learners with opportunities for peer-to-peer interaction, discussion forums and collaboration and direct access to experts. These features are available in every SAP Learning Room, in which Learning Journey documents can also be accessed. Over 100 Learning Journey documents are included in SAP Learning Hub. Each stop on the way to mastery in a Learning Journey can take one of a variety of customizable formats, based on learning goals. Learners have the opportunity to participate through: SAP Learning Rooms are interactive, virtual spaces that give members access to expert-led events, collaborative community video features and gamified concepts. Included is the reputation program, which allows learners to collect points, win badges and complete missions and challenges. Seventy four percent of the participants of SAP Learning Hub use SAP Learning Rooms once a week, with 70 percent saying they found them easy to use. Diverse learning formats include e-learning courses, course e-books and the latest delta training with content that is always up-to-date. In addition, newly implemented standalone assessments provide learners with feedback that alerts them to where their knowledge gaps are and how to close them. Enterprise MOOCs are massive open online courses provided through the opensap platform included in SAP Learning Hub. The SAP Live Access environment is a live, fully supported private SAP software environment with over 400 training systems that simulate hands-on experience with SAP software. The environment includes access to real, but anonymized customer data. SAP Learning Hub has helped corporate adopters such as IBM, Mercedes-Benz and Zurich Insurance Group meet their corporate learning initiatives. Accomplishments include: IBM Global Business Services achieved a 93 percent lower average cost per employee training session as compared to the previous year. It earned the 2016 Brandon Hall Learning and Development Bronze award for Best Learning Program Supporting a Change Transformation Business Strategy. Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş. reduced its overall required number of training days by 95 percent by streamlining content delivery.
