1 Introducing TimeWise TimeWise is a time, leave and work effort management software solution created by Dragonfly Software, a specialist development services company, located on Pirie St, in the Adelaide CBD. Specifically designed for the South Australian Government, TimeWise has been in use by several agencies for the past few years, helping them with their timesheet and leave request reconciliation requirements. I am writing to you because our TimeWise customers have told us it s about time we introduced more agencies to this great tool. TimeWise is a low cost and rapidly deployed solution that caters for SA Government human resource policies across many usage scenarios to a level satisfying auditor requirements. The system is easy to use and provides incentives for basic time entry users as well as powerful management reporting and analysis tools for decision makers. Different pricing models are available for TimeWise, with a permanent licence available at a once off cost to license up to 1000 users. Alternatively, annual licenses are available that can be scaled up or down according to the number of user licences required. Ongoing support and upgrades are provided via a TimeWise Annual Support and Maintenance Agreement that entitle you to free upgrades as they become available. TimeWise was first created over 6 years ago as a basic web based time and attendance solution. Since then, it has been ever more specifically tailored to SA Government agency requirements, designed in conjunction with HR and Business Improvement groups from within the agencies, to suit various time and leave management scenarios. TimeWise has grown into a solution for agencies needing to reconcile employee Timesheets and Leave Requests, with real time Flexi balance monitoring and TOIL/Overtime request and approval workflows. TimeWise also includes a Roster Variation system and timesheet support for Contractors, Casuals and Weekly Paid employees, resulting in formatted forms directly work flowed ( ed) to Shared Services on approval. Existing agencies currently using TimeWise include DEWNR, EPA, DFW, ZWSA, DTF and PIRSA, with other agencies in the process of evaluating TimeWise for their own use. Advanced Flexi Track staff member Flexitime balances using a system specifically designed for SA Government, in accordance with current SA Government EBA and PSA Acts. TOIL and Overtime Comprehensive management of TOIL Accrual, TOIL taken, TOIL Balance, Overtime Worked and Overtime Payroll notification services. Roster Variation Removes an additional paper form based workflow by integrating roster variation request and approval workflows, directly and immediately updating TimeWise working arrangements, and subsequent Flexitime, TOIL, and leave balance calculations. Leave Requests (Forms, Templates) Incorporates Leave Request Forms and Leave Approval Workflows into staff members timesheets. Includes improved executive routing tools for special leave types. Also provides System Administrators with the ability to manage their own leave forms. Leave Planner Leave Planners assist employee leave planning and managers with approving employee requests and knowledge of workgroup member availability to avoid short staffing situations. Audit Log Workflow auditing increases the transparency and tracing of approval events for internal auditing compliance. CHRIS Leave Balance Integration Leave Balance availability based on import of Leave Balance data directly exported from CHRIS. This version supports employee types additional to the standard PSA type, including Casual, Contractor and Weekly Paid employees. Advanced Cost Recovery Tools are also available, to track project time and rates in a variety of different charge structures. The CHRIS Integration Toolkit has also just been released, to further extend the current compatibility and interoperability with the CHRIS HR System, enabling the creation of CHRIS compatible data files to be produced from TimeWise data, suitable for direct upload into the CHRIS system. In addition, an optional module of over twenty five online Human Resources forms can be purchased as an extension to the base version. Each form can be turned on or off as you wish and include forms such as allowance, employment, position and resignation/transfer forms, to name just a few. Each of these forms is embedded into the TimeWise workflow engine, so employees and managers alike have all the information they need available in one place.
