We have taken care to ensure that the JWorks user interface and rules-driven architecture help achieve the goals of the modern court. JWorks works the way you do because its case/workflow/dcm engines provide flexible rulesdriven options for setting milestones, events, tasks and specific business procedures according to your established practices and timelines. And JWorks serves up the information you need to know, when you need it. JWorks is built from more than 20 years of expertise providing solutions for public safety and justice agencies and through collaboration with key customers.
4 JWorks CMS Page 4 Differentiating Features of the JWorks CMS Graphical User Dashboards and Queues as seen below, provide instant visual assessment and access to assigned work and tasks. With the Dashboard view, you ll know what s going on, in real-time, all of the time. Case Metrics and Statistics measure performance against goals with the ability to adjust case management rules, events, and related timing to improve performance. Tool Tips, Drill-downs and Drill-ups through information links and expanded page views from every screen in JWorks present information at every needed moment.
5 JWorks CMS Page 5 Automated Case Tracking via the JWorks Differential Case Management (DCM) engine incorporates time guidelines, milestones, required and optional events, interface and notification triggers, user and team task assignments and all related processing rules in a single configurable component. Remote Check-in Capability via the JWorks Kiosk component, allows parties and participants to check-in once they ve arrived at the courthouse and provides real-time updates to check-in status in the courtroom. Document Management System (DMS) for managing incoming and outgoing documents, can be supplemented with third-party DMS solutions through the JWorks DMS API. Flexible Calendaring Capabilities allow virtually any person (party, participant, staff, etc.) to maintain their calendars which can be layered for viewing multiple schedules at a glance.
6 JWorks CMS Page 6 Information Sharing is accomplished through The JWorks Integrator/IJIS Broker which manages exchanges with outside partner systems (jails, law enforcement, state systems, etc.). JWorks can receive and send transactions amongst any number of partner systems, regardless of whether they are XML, flat file, etc. JWorks is standards-based and includes schema for GJXDM, NIEM, ECF, xbrl, HL7, Nlets, CANDLE, NCIC and CJIN. Flexible Ad-Hoc Reports are supported from within the JWorks CMS. Whether standard or ad hoc, reports can be viewed on the screen, output to a variety of formats, ed or placed in the user s Report Queue for later access. Reports can be secured to restrict viewing or alterations by other users if desired.

The intelligence developed for JWorks DCM business rules is far superior to that bolted on to other case management systems. 9 JWorks CMS Page 9 Business Rules Development and Implementation CJS works closely with its customers through our Business Process Review (BPR) period as we collect, review, and express your business and processing requirements and rules. The JWorks Advanced Rule Templates are then modified in cooperation with your IT staff while we verify the processes for accuracy. Because we believe in empowering the customer to own the system, we allow your certified Business Rules Engineers to manage and modify the templates as laws and local rules, practices, and preferences change over time. As the number of filings grow and technology changes; your demands also change. Only an intelligent, integrated system built on the latest technology like JWorks CMS can meet your needs.
10 JWorks CMS Page 10 Better System Integration with External Agency Information Systems The JWorks Integrator utilizes our IJIS Broker exchange agent a standards-based application interface to the JWorks CMS used to communicate with external systems/partners. Essentially, the JWorks Integrator exposes only a single endpoint for each transport it supports, and accepts any type of document. This makes it simple for exchange partners to send and receive JWorks information because they only need to know a small number of possible endpoints. The JWorks Integrator will determine the type of information being exchanged, the exchange partner, how to act upon the information and how to communicate that information to JWorks. The JWorks Integrator comes bundled with preconfigured standard exchange documents, as well as out-of-the-box support for GJXDM and NIEM.

JWorks contains a report execution page that lets users run predefined reports and have the output sent to the JWorks DMS or via .
12 JWorks CMS Page 12 Improved Accessibility and Graphical User Interface The JWorks user interface is expressly designed to facilitate quick, reliable, accurate entry and to simplify user interaction with the system. Just about all user tasks are driven from the user s dashboard, with quick access to other functions and hotlinks to JWorks pages and data throughout. The JWorks breadcrumb trail provides a simple way to trace back through last pages visited and functions like recent cases/recent persons which lets the user link directly to those cases and people they ve most recently accessed. Page components/panels can be organized (and stored) in the order most useful to each user.
13 JWorks CMS Page 13 Improved security tools JWorks incorporates a very robust security scheme that controls user access by role. Permissions to Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD) can be assigned at the Page, Component and Field levels. JWorks also allows basic-to-advanced rules to be applied to user passwords, forcing users to include a mix of alphanumeric characters, disallowing use of their user name, and applying other advanced password controls if desired. Forms and Letter Generation JWorks interacts with Microsoft Word and OpenOffice for all document (forms, letters) generation. Document templates can be uploaded into JWorks and configured with variable language, user-definable data bookmarks/tokens and preferred distribution methods to print and/or . JWorks even allows the user to test generate documents from the configuration page so changes can be made as necessary without opening multiple screens.
