1 Version 7.0 Release Notes Thank you for installing version 7.0 of. It is important that you carefully read this document! Major Enhancements (This document is intended as a summary of changes only! See Classic Help for details by choosing Help>>Classic Help from the top menu of the application) 1. Main Application a. Flex Reports. A Flex Reports module has been added to give flexibility to the presentation of CLASSIC reports. You are now able to have more control over what and how information is presented to make reports more tailored to your needs. 1
2 b. Updating Waitlist Contact info at Move-In. An option has been added to customize the Action & Comment that is added to the Contact Log during the Move-in process. 2
3 2. Tax Credit Changes a. User Defined Fields (UDFs). This will enable users to add state specific items on the certification so they will show on the state report/certs. UDFs will show as the step right before Finalize and will only show if the property has UDFs setup. 3
4 3. AR Changes a. Multi-Tenant Charge Entry. This screen is useful for adding charges that vary month to month. For example: gas or water. 4
5 4. Work Order Changes. a. User Defined Fields (UDFs). UDFs can now be added to the Work Order. b. Manufacturer Items. Users will now be able to set up Manufacturers and their Model Numbers to the Work Orders. Once they set these up they are able to assign manufacturers and model numbers to the work order inventory screen. A Warranty Expiration field was also added. 5
6 c. Inventory Items can be setup through a Work Order. Inventory Items can now be entered through from the Materials screen in Work Orders. 6
7 Minor Enhancements (See Classic Help for details) Main Application 1. Quick Find has been enhanced for the Property List, Household Register and the Work Order List. 2. An Inactive status can now be assigned to a Leasing Agent so that they are no longer in the drop down list throughout the program. 3. Added the ability to print any cert directly from the Tenant Household screen. 4. Tenant Quick Find will now find Applicants even if there are no leases assigned to the applicant. 5. If any changes are made to Income Limits or Utility Allowances that are in use, a warning message will alert the user about which Certs could be affected. 6. The Lease Expiration report now has a beginning and ending date. 7. A lookup function has been added to Income, Asset and Expense rolodex items. 8. A Modules column has been added to the Property Select list. 9. Background Checks will now include County Searches for Criminal history. 10. Relationship and Comments has been added to the Emergency Contact Screen. 11. A Move Out Allow User Permission has been added. 12. Users on Terminal Server who try to run Classic Update and are not in Install Mode will now be notified. 13. CLASSIC Help will now send users to the online version. 14. The Conventional Move In/Move Out report will have an option to Include Transfers. AR Bank Accounts will now have an Active flag. 16. The Rent column on the Move In/Move Out report will now include all charges counted towards GPR. 17. The Reset column on the GL Transfer screen will have a select all checkbox in the column header. 18. The option of showing the Remaining Balance and/ or Payment Details has been added to receipts. (YASC 2009) 19. AR Late Fee Register screen will now show a Balance column. 20. A Service Date column has been added to the Deposit Register grid which will allow more details to be displayed. 21. The Resident Ledger will now display Beginning Balance in the report is run for a date range. 22. The Monthly Statement report will be able to print by Tenant Name or Household Address. 23. Late Rent Notices will now print by Property then by Unit order properties will have a maximum late fee calculation of the greater of $10 or 5% of GTC. 25. Added a setting to property setup that will give a warning message if Obligation Balance falls below a user determined dollar amount. 26. The Budget Narrative page can now be imported from Budget Spreadsheet. 27. A 515 GTC field has been added to the Lease Data Source in Letter Manager. 7
8 HUD 28. A new reminder in My Reminders has been added that will show all HUD certs that are marked to send to TRACS. 29. Tenants who are receiving Hardship Exemptions will be flagged on the Recert List as due for Recert every 90 days as long as the suspension lasts. 30. The ability to mark HUD contracts as inactive has been added to the Contract Screen. 31. Tenant Rent is a new field that has been added to the Initial Notice Data Source in Letter Manager. Tax Credit 32. Added BIN# to the Building List screen. 33. Added the ability for Quick Income Qualification Check on the Waitlist. 34. Added the ability to export Ohio, Washington and Minnesota reports even if Excel is not installed. 35. Tax Credit Unit number has been added to the Unit Setup screen and can be used on State Reports. 36. Added an XML Viewer for State Reports that create and XML file. 37. An option has been added to the TC Options page in Property Setup to allow the lease to be displayed after saving a new TC cert. Work Order 38. Back/Next Buttons have added to the Work Order entry screen. 39. A User Defined Field can be set up to complete the Special Requests field on Work Order printouts Letter Writer 40. Letters can now be setup to only show the last four digits in a SSN. 41. A Letter Settings button has been added to the Letter Manager that will allow the user to select which letters show up and which don't. 42. Leases can now be printed for multiple households in Letter Manager. Flex Reports 43. A HUD Cert Detail List has been added to Flex Reports A Comments column has been added to the Guest Card Flex Report Warranty Expiration Date, Manufacturer, and Model Number columns have been added to the Unit Inventory Flex Report A Recurring Transaction report has been added to Flex Reports A Waitlist Contact Log has been added to Flex Reports
