In 1977, Walter Böhler realised the enormous potential of programmable logic controllers and set up his business specialising in the design and manufacture of control systems for special-purpose machines. His vision was to offer the entire scope of high-quality automation technology from one source. Today the family company has passed to the second generation. More than 25 highly qualified and dedicated employees accomplish challenging projects for satisfied customers all over the world The company created one of its first control systems after its foundation for the company Epple-Buxbaum in Wels The delivery of a coordinate drilling machine for the company Meister in St. Gallen, Switzerland. In collaboration with partners, Böhler Steuerungen delivers the entire scope of mechanical and plant engineering according to customer requirements. As a general contractor, we offer the full range of services planning, manufacturing, commissioning and hand-over of turnkey systems. Of course, our scope of services includes project management, including coordination with all suppliers and the final CE-Declaration of Conformity for the entire system delivered. The considerable reduction of interfaces in the project that occurs as a result brings significant advantages for our customers, in terms of safety, quality and efficiency. Always state-of-the-art. 7 Manufacture and Installation of Control Cabinets As a general contractor with our own personnel, we manufacture the control cabinets for our projects and install them on site for our customers. This means that we can achieve highest quality, which also benefits customers who contract us to manufacture control cabinets or repair existing control cabinets. Clean, safe, good. A quick glance into our control cabinets demonstrates their perfect and clearly arranged construction. Software and Commissioning Böhler Steuerungen only uses tested and high-quality components made by well-known manufacturers. The core business of Böhler Steuerungen is developing programmable logic controllers. This not only includes the development of PLC programs for new plants, but also the modernisation and expansion of existing plants. In our projects, we make use of hardware supplied by reputable manufacturers such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider and Pilz for programmable safety controllers. Our work is based on plant-specific specifications drawn up in close co-operation with our final customer. This allows us to ensure that our software programs and user interfaces not only function reliably, but are also easy-to-use and user-friendly. The last tweak is then performed in the course of manufacturing support and training, whereby we can respond to the particular wishes and expectations of the operators and users. Process Control- and Visualisation System MCVIS In the aluminium-, automotive- or food-industries, the requirements for traceability of the raw materials used or for repeatability of the production parameters continue to increase everywhere. The MCVIS process control and visualisation system is a non-sector-specific and modular system. Its versatile standard functions guarantee simple adaptation to customer-specific requirements. This is why MCVIS is the optimum solution for your particular automation task. MCVIS is based on current Microsoft products in the field of database solutions and visualisation. Through the implementation of standardised protocols, MCVIS enables uniform interfaces to the superordinate ERP system (e. g. SAP), and to the control systems connected, whatever the controller type. Thanks to its open structures, MCVIS can be implemented step by step and is therefore ideal for any application, from a simple processing machine to a complex automation line.
