Since the launch of the Information Security Programme in June 2009, government entities have made progress in making Information Security as part of their management toolset. National Archive Law No. 7:2008 The National Archives (NA) is a leading research and archival institution based in Abu Dhabi charged with preserving and documenting the history and heritage of the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region in general. HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and issued Federal Law No. (7) in 2008 designating the Center as the official National Archives of the UAE, under the name National Center for Documentation and Research (NCDR). The law specifies the NCDR jurisdiction to collect, preserve and archive documents to promote cultural and historical awareness and provide researchers access to the valuable materials held by the Center. In 2014, HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued the federal law no. (1) of 2014, changing the name of NCDR to National Archives (NA). 11 GOVERNMENT SECTOR Municipality Land Department Conversion of over 5 million large format drawings to electronic format, scanning drawings and documents. This is the largest scanning project in the region to date involving scanning of technical drawings along with indexing of multiple fields in English and Arabic, and finally releasing it into FileNet EDMS. Raster to Vector conversion, Managing and executing a project of scanning and conversion over 50,000 technical drawings (Architect Drawing, Structure Drawing and Oil Drilling logs) form TIFF format (Raster) to DWG format (AutoCad). Merging over 160,000 Land and Owner files then converting it to electronic format, Data cleansing and data enrichment process along with scanning then releasing it to client EDMS Application. Merging over 100,000 Owners and Land files in one file then converting the output to electronic format with indexing of Owner and Land information, finally releasing it to Stallent EDMS. Electronic Assessment of Test Results for National Student Assessment Program. Worked with the Australian Council for Educational Research to develop the project, involving preparation and electronic evaluation of aptitude tests for all student class. Project developed and executed using different capturing technologies (i.e. Manual Entry, OCR, OMR, ICR). Managing and creating a full solution for mailing room to manage all daily transactions (physically and electronically). Scanning all driver files, Finance invoices, Human Resources files then releasing it to Open Text EDMS.
