2 Introduction PVC flexible hose with internal reinforcement and smooth interior and exterior surface. Spiral rigid reinforced: indeformable antishock. Hermetic socket and resistant in the union at 30 bar. pressure. Great resistance to residual waters and a large range of chemicals. Dimensions and characteristics according EN-ISO It supports temperatures between -10º C and +55º C and an absolute vacuum pressure of 350 mbar. 2

3 Cepexflex features Main features: flexibility, lightness and strength External diametrers adjusted to make an easier installation with PVC fittings (solvent socket unions) and PP (compression unions), perfect for Cepex fittings (with AENOR certification) Marking of specifications in each meter of hose Color grey (white on order) Shrinkwrapped packaging of high quality and resistance Flexibility higher than the other products of the competition. It doesn t use added materials in the PVC, so the hose keeps the form after submit it to high twists 3

6 Advantages and disadvantages Inner cut: Spiral reinforcement in the whole hose. Gives it a better flexibilty and strength Inner surface completely smooth. Avoids the accumulation of particles and the friction with the transported fluid 6

7 Certifications: AENOR (Asociación Española de Normalización y Certificación): (achieved recently), with this certificate, the product is placed at the same level than the strongest competition.

8 Union possibilities Is recommended to do the unions with Cepex PVC fittings (the only ones with AENOR certification). The reccomended solvent cement is Cepex Bondtite, specially indicated for unions with PVC flexible hose. The unions with Cepex PP compression fittings Performance Series are possible also, these unions offer a quick installation/dismantle. 8

9 Union possibilities It is possible to change the system from flexible hose to rigid pipe using the Cepex fittings (compression and PVC ones). Compatibility between the two systems is perfect. 11 Installation Advices: Normal installation with solvent socket fittings and with compression fittings. Pay special attention in underground installations, be careful that there are no stones or materials that could damage the hose (is useful the use of sand to cover it). In swimming pools installations or hydroterapie, keep it far away of high concentrations of chlorine (in example: skimmer outlets). 11

12 Quality Tests applied to the flexible hose: - For each injected pipe: Samples registration and size checking every 4 injection hours. - Every 24 hours: Hydrostatic pressure test - Every consignment: Bending radius test Cold bending radius test Vacuum test Hydrostatic pressure test Reinforcement fracture test - 4 times a week/diameter: Pulsation pressure test All these controls are explained in the Quality Tests CSF. 12
