I am the planner which has been assigned to review the subject applications. Planning Department staff conducted a site-visit on June 22, 2015 and noted there were existing trees on both the subject lands, which would appear to be in the location of where the proposed dwellings are to be constructed. Based on the site plan submitted, no trees have been identified nor has there been any indication that the trees on-site are intended to be preserved. In discussion with the Urban Design Division, they have requested that a Tree Inventory and Preservation Plan be provided for our review, prior to the consideration of these applications. If you could please provide a Tree Inventory/Preservation Plan at your earliest convenience it would be greatly appreciated. Please be advised that any trees which are proposed to be removed and are over 20 cm in diameter will be subject to the City s Private Property Tree By-law (By-law ).
