20 Conclusion Precast Concrete Panel/Hollow-Core Slab still stand as the method of choice although cost is the highest Aerated Concrete, Insulated Concrete Forms offer an overall competitive advantages compared with Precast, however cost need to be tested in bidding. Precast Concrete Modular Units offer rapid construction. Limited suppliers and plan adaptability are the systems primary negatives. Could be considered in future
21 Conclusion. Cont.. From the above, RC has selected Precast as the base bid for future contracts with the inclusion of alternative bids for Aerated Concrete and Insulated Concrete Forms. Studying new methods shall continue and consider those offers competitive advantages. Tools such as LEED should be used for evaluation of design and can be used for selection methods.
