Construction Business Although our second core business of Real Estate Development has made a remarkable growth, Construction remains our first core business, accounting for over 80% of our global revenues. It is divided into Building Construction such as office buildings, production plants, condominiums and other types of buildings, and Civil Engineering such as dams, bridges and tunnels, etc. ROPPONGI HILLS (Tokyo, Japan) Roppongi Hills was developed as a complex of many cultural facilities with the concept of Bunka Toshin (city center with culture). Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, the main and symbolic building of Roppongi Hills, has adopted various construction-related high-technologies such as HiDAX (seismic control system developed by Kajima), radio wave absorbent walls, and two-layered super double-deck elevators.

2 SUEZ CANAL BRIDGE (Cantara, Egypt) The only bridge over the Suez Canal, which connects the Mediterranean and Red Sea. It is 730 meters long in total with a 440-meter span between the main towers. The main towers, modeled after an ancient Egyptian obelisk, are 160 meters high. The bridge girder is positioned 70 meters above the water surface, making it the highest in the world. AKASHI KAIKYO BRIDGE (Hyogo, Japan) Stretching gracefully across the waters of the Akashi the strait located at the entrance of Osaka Bay the 3,911 meters long Akashi Kaikyo Bridge construction required more than 10 years and the cumulative efforts of more than two million people to complete. The bridge was built in waters with depths of up to 110 meters to link Kobe, which is on Japan s main island of Honshu, with Awaji Island. Completed in April 1998, the bridge stands as a shining testament to the capabilities of Japanese technology. RUNWAY D, TOKYO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Tokyo, Japan) Runway D will be the fourth runway at Tokyo International Airport, also known as Haneda Airport. The new runway will be 2.5 km in length and will run parallel to Runway B. Awarded under the design-build method of procurement, the project involves a hybrid construction method that combines land reclamation and steel pier construction. The project is divided into nine sections, of which Kajima is responsible for land reclamation work, connecting area construction, and jacket structure construction.

3 METROPOLITAN EXPRESSWAY CENTRAL CIRCULAR ROUTE (Tokyo, Japan) This roadway, designed to link together key focal points in metropolitan Tokyo, as a means of maintaining and enhancing the city s functionality, extends for a total of 47 km. Kajima was mainly responsible for constructing parts of the Yamate Tunnel the Yoyogi Shield (approx. 2.7 km) linking the Route 3 Shibuya Line and Route 4 Shinjuku Line, and the Shinagawa Line Shield (outbound) section (approx. 8 km). The large-diameter curved pipe roof method developed by Kajima was used on the Shinjuku Line. TAKIZAWA DAM (Saitama, Japan) This is a dam on the Nakatsugawa River, a tributary of the Arakawa River. It was built to serve a number of functions, including flood control, securing existing water intake, protection of the riverine environment, new water usage and electricity generation. A concrete gravity dam with wall height of 132 m, length of 424 m, and volume of 1.67 million m 3, it has a storage capacity of 63 million m 3. SUMMIT WIND POWER KASHIMA (Ibaraki, Japan) Ten gigantic windmills were erected along the coast of Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture. These windmills are 118 m high at their tallest point, and have a power output of 2,000kW. The windmills generate electricity for approximately 12,000 households a year, and reduce CO 2 emissions by approximately 18,000 t a year.

4 THE NATIONAL ART CENTER (Tokyo, Japan) Japan s fifth national art museum, which has been completed in Minato-ku, Tokyo. It boasts the nation s largest exhibition space. The wavy glass curtain wall extending 160 meters on the front blends well with the surrounding green, while allowing bright light to penetrate into the large atrium while blocking ultraviolet light. SAITAMA STADIUM 2002 (Saitama, Japan) Saitama Stadium 2002 is one of the largest stadiums in Asia, with a seating capacity of 63,700. To host the 2002 FIFA World Cup and ensure a year-round grass pitch for professional soccer games, Kajima developed and installed an extensive ground temperature control system to maintain a constant soil temperature for the turf. RESORTS WORLD SENTOSA(Singapore) This is one of Southeast Asia s largest resort complexes, located on Sentosa Island off southern Singapore. Kajima Overseas Asia built three high-class hotels with a total of 980 rooms, Singapore s first casino, a 1,600-seat theater, and a 500-meter long all-weather retail mall, among other facilities.

5 ALGERIA EAST-WEST MOTORWAY(Algeria) This 1,200 km motorway project, stretching across Algeria from east to west, is among the country s biggest construction projects. Kajima s consortium won the contract for the eastern section (about 400 km). Once the entire route is constructed, it will link Algeria with Tunisia and Morocco. Real Estate Development Kajima has led a number of real estate development projects such as offices, condominiums, hotels, and warehouses not only in Japan but in the United States, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The real estate development business utilizes a variety of development and financing schemes to maximize asset efficiency. TOKYO STATION CITY (Tokyo, Japan) Kajima participated in this landmark redevelopment project at Tokyo Station both as one of the developers (GranTokyo South Tower) and one of the contractors. The 43-storied GranTokyo South Tower, which integrates office and retail facilities, was completed and started operation in 2007.

6 TORANOMON TOWERS(Tokyo, Japan) This redevelopment project, developed solely by Kajima, was fully completed in 2006, with our cutting-edge technologies. Located at the heart of Tokyo, the project consists of two skyscrapers: an office tower (23 stories above the ground) provided with the seismic control system and a condominium tower (41 stories above the ground) with a distinctive façade providing a high quality atmosphere. SENAYAN SQUARE(Jakarta, Indonesia) Senayan Square, a mixed-use redevelopment project consisting of office, residential and commercial facilities, sets a new standard of excellence for the bustling city of Jakarta. Kajima has led this landmark project as the developer and the contractor. Its third office tower construction commenced in 2008.
