It has also had a production site in Canada for about 30 years. The self-adhesive tapes range has recently been enlarged with special products in order to offer more business opportunities to its customers. On the market for 40 years, Vibac has reached a leading position by winning the trust of its customers who acknowledge the quality of the products as well as the services we offer. The philosophy of the Group is quite simple: think globally and develop in every market. The results we have achieved prove it! 2

4 QUALITY R&D Vibac Group s R&D Film & Tape department is equipped with a modernly organized research centre which has avant-garde instruments in the field of typecasting materials and packaging and is capable of creating and developing innovative films and tapes for various fields of application. The structure, with its operational centre based in the Vinci plant, Italy, focalizes on the following principal activities: Analysis of polymeric and additivated materials Analysis of resins, additives and rubbers Co-engineering activities with the principal market dealers Designing new production tapes and structures Chemical-physical and mechanical characterization of the tape Characterization of the performance and efficiency of tape in the manual and automatic application Characterization of the performance and efficiency of tape on system of use (body shop-varnishing) Vibac Group considers quality a strategic and decisive factor to ensure continuous customer satisfaction. Our target is to improve product development, guarantee the competitiveness of the company and consolidate its future in the different markets. The main goal of all Vibac s activities is customer satisfaction both in terms of product and service; this is our key objective. In VIBAC Group, the first stage of this project was the implementation of a management System for Quality according to the international norms. The system is updated to the ISO 9001:2008 norm (BUREAU VERITAS certification, accredited by ACCREDIA). 3

5 PRODUCTION From the early 1970s to today the development of the Self-adhesive Tapes Division has passed through the Ticineto (Vibac S.p.A.- Italy, today s Group Headquarters), Montreal (Vibac Tape Corporation - Canada) Termoli and Vinci (Italia) plants. The total production capacity is about Mio sqm. For years it has implemented systems for Quality and environment management, according to the ISO 9001 and ISO international standards. Production lines: Diversified lines of production for different types of self-adhesive tapes: Natural rubber - Synthetic rubber - Masking - Specialties Saturation lines (production of saturated paper) And a complete slitting and packaging department. Environment: Vibac respects the environment. The solvent used during the coating process is recycled thanks to special absorbents, then treated and re-used in the production process! 4

6 The constant growth of the Group both in terms of volumes and turnover in every geographical area and field of activity is the clear and evident testimony of a strategy that aims to reach a prominent market position at worldwide level. Production close to each specific market The production facility in Canada allows us to properly serve the markets of the three Americas. With our production units in Italy we can respond to the demand in Central Europe. With the new investment in Serbia we can finally approach and satisfy Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, Russia and Far East/Pacific areas. Respect for the environment The solvent used in the production process is fully recovered and reused in a closed circuit during the production phases. Carton Sealing: The range of stick-on tapes offered from Vibac for industrial use is suitable for every kind of cartons and application (manual and automatic application), granting high seal during the storage and the transportation. Printing-transformation: Thanks to R&D in the BOPP field, Vibac was the first to develop printable self-adhesive tapes. Vibac can offer a complete range of high quality, printable pressure sensitive adhesive tapes. Masking tapes: Vibac masking tapes are developed using the most innovative technologies and raw materials, thus granting high reliability even in the most demanding conditions.
