SUBJECT: Bowing In Front Fascia And/Or Gap Above Headlamp OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves inspecting the front fascia and if necessary applying double sided tape to the upper fascia closeout panel. MODELS: 2011 (LX) 300 NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built before June 6, 2011 (MDH 0606XX). SYMPTOM/CONDITION: Customer may notice bowing in front fascia and/or gap above headlamp. DIAGNOSIS: If the customer describes the symptom, perform the repair procedure. PARTS REQUIRED: Qty. Part No. Description 1 NPN 3M EX4015 Double Sided Tape (1 Wide) or Equivalent SPECIAL TOOLS/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: NPN NPN NPN Isopropyl Alcohol 3M 4298 Adhesion Promoter Wipe or Equivalent Painter's/Masking Tape

2 REPAIR PROCEDURE: 1. Does a gap exist between the upper fascia eyebrow and headlamp on the left and/or right side of the vehicle (Fig. 1)? a. Yes >>> Proceed to Step #2. b. No >>> Return the vehicle to the customer or dealer inventory. Fig. 1 Fascia Bowing or Gap 1 - Gap 2 - Upper Fascia Eyebrow 2. Remove the front fascia. Refer to the detailed removal procedures available in DealerConnect>TechCONNECT> under: Service Info> 13 Frame and Bumpers> Bumpers> FASCIA, Front> Removal.

4 Clean both sides of the upper fascia closeout panel and inside of upper fascia eyebrow with isopropyl alcohol(fig. 3) & (Fig. 4). Fig. 3 Prep Upper Fascia Closeout Panel 1 - Prep Wipe 2 - Upper Fascia Closeout Panel

5 Wipe both sides of the upper fascia closeout panel and upper fascia eyebrow with adhesion promoter (Fig. 3) & (Fig. 4). Fig. 4 Prep Inside Face of Facia Eyebrow 1 - Prep Wipe 2 - Upper Fascia Eyebrow

6 Apply an 11 strip of double sided tape to each side of the upper fascia closeout panel once the adhesion promoter has flashed (Fig. 5). Fig. 5 Install Double Sided Tape 1 - Double Sided Tape 2 - Upper Fascia Closeout Panel

7 7. Slightly peel back the adhesive liner (Fig. 6). Refer to the detailed removal procedures available in DealerConnect>TechCONNECT> under: Service Info> 13 Frame and Bumpers> Bumpers> FASCIA, Front> Installation. NOTE: Do not resecure the upper fascia to the upper fascia closeout panel at this time.

8 Pull back the upper fascia eyebrow enough to remove the double sided tape adhesive liner (Fig. 7). Fig. 7 Remove Adhesive Liner From Tape 1 - Adhesive Liner 2 - Upper Fascia Eyebrow 3 - Upper Fascia Closeout Panel 10. Resecure the upper fascia to the upper fascia closeout panel.

9 Press downward on the upper fascia eyebrows (2) to engage double sided tape (Fig. 8). 12. Apply two strips of painter's/masking tape across the upper fascia eyebrows to maintain constant pressure for 2 hours (Fig. 8). Does a gap exist between the upper fascia eyebrow and headlamp on the left and/or right side of the vehicle? a. Yes >>> This bulletin does not apply, further diagnosis required. b.
