Table 1 clarifies the geographical origin of the used timber, classified by product groups and production sites. Table 2 contains a list of the used tree species, classified by product group. Contained information's are genus and specie, country of origin, percentage of the plant (forestry) and percentage of the recycled plant (forestry). In addition, the numbers of the FSC - and PEFC- chain of custody of the EGGER group are specified in the table header. This information is relevant for the following sets of rules, which are described in more detail below: EU Timber Regulation Lacey Act IKEA FTS in with IWAY Standard (Edition5.2, v ) - Forestry Section ED6 from with IKEA Directive IOS MAT 0087 PEFC STD 2002:2013 Australian Illegal Logging Prohibition Bill Nordic Swan, Blue Angel and other eco labels Timber Regulation (EUTR) Regulation (EU) No. 995/2010 According to the EU Timber Regulation, it is forbidden to bring illegally logged timber and products made out of it onto the European market. The Regulation divides companies into market participants, which put timber and timber products into circulation within the EU for the first time, and dealers, which buy timber that has already been put into circulation by another party. Pursuant to these definitions, the EGGER Group can be described as a trading company, which must fulfil the obligations of the Regulation by recording the following: a. The details of the economic operators and dealers that have supplied timber and timber products b. The details of those to whom the timber products have been sold, for a minimum period of 5 years Lacey Act - for deliveries to North America The US Lacey Act contains legal regulations about the traceability of plants and forestry products. It is aimed at preventing illegal timber logging and the destruction of biotopes. Once certain periods have elapsed (see Lacey Act, Chapter 53 in Title 16 of the United States Code ), it is no longer allowed to import goods with the listed HTSUS Code into the USA without a proper declaration. The following information can be used to fulfil the required declaration. IKEA FTS and IOS MAT 0087 This specification contains the IKEA s relating to legal forestry and the traceability of the plant that is used in IKEA products. The IOS MAT 0087 is based on the IKEA s and on the terms of the Lacey Act.

2 Coding: VRG 270 EN Australian Illegal Logging Prohibition Bill The Australian Illegal Logging Bill contains legal regulations about the traceability of plants and forestry products. It is aimed at preventing illegal timber logging and the destruction of biotopes. The following information can be used to fulfil the required declaration. More information on the Internet under: PEFC STD 2002 : 2013 As a PEFC-certified company, EGGER must implement a due diligence system (DDS) to minimise the risk of purchasing from controversial sources. In with PEFC STD 2002 :2013, Chap. 5.2., as your supplier we are using this document to provide information on the Internet about the composition of our products with regard to tree types and countries of origin. Timbers used are subject to a due diligence system (DDS) and thus minimise the use of timber from controversial sources. You can find more detailed information about our guidelines in the manufacturer declaration VRG229 about uncertified timber origins: Product eco labels and sustainable construction schemes When using EGGER products in your application for various product labels and sustainable construction schemes, this document provides you with a large share of required data. Among others, it is valid for "Nordic Ecolabel for Furniture and Fitments", Form 3a, Table 1; "Nordic Eco of Small houses, apartment buildings and pre-school buildings", App. 10; Blue Angel RAL UZ 38 annex 1, first three columns. Our suppliers confirm in with Regulation (EU) 995/2010 that they are authorized to log, sell, and introduce the timber for the first time on the EU market, in compliance with applicable legislation as well as civil law. The generic terms softwood, hardwood, and cellulose in table 1 include the following tree species. Depending on the product formula and availability of timber, the tree species combinations may vary. Only trees species, which can reach a minimum share of 3% within the product, are listed.
