Liquid sodium hypochlorite and ultraviolet (UV) light are used for disinfection. The system currently has 452 water service connections. List all water treatment chemicals used over this reporting period 1. Liquid sodium hypochlorite for primary disinfection at 1 well. 2. Ultraviolet (UV) light and liquid sodium hypochlorite for primary disinfection at 2 wells. 3. Liquid sodium hypochlorite for secondary disinfection throughout the distribution system. Water was chlorinated, but not subject to UV treatment. Approximate volume discharged to the reservoir was 0.38 m 3. [R.170/03, S.16-4] Sodium concentration > 20 mg/l in a drinking water sample from the Cardinal Woods DWS. Report for sodium had not been made in the preceding 57 months. [R.170/03, S.16-3(1)8] 55.5 mg/l Corrective Action Operator was on-site during the event. Valve problem was immediately corrected by onsite Operator. MOECC and local Health Unit notified as required. No further action required. Resample and test as required. Local Health Unit was provided with updated information regarding sodium concentrations in Dec No further action required.
