10 Reusable Bags Offer and highly promote our reusable bag program Through signage (in parking lots) and ads/flyers. Keep customers interested with fresh, new artwork seasonally. Our customers have purchased over 4.5 million reusable shopping bags. Since the introduction of our reusable shopping bag in 2007, and with continuing improvements in our plastic bags, we have been able to reduce our plastic usage. This works out to approximately 4,000 fewer bags per day in each store!

17 Food Waste In 2013 we donated 16.5 million pounds of food, still wholesome and good to eat but not in condition to sell to local food banks In million pounds of food and produce waste were composted, sent to local digesters or livestock farms (reducing food waste in our landfills) Produce purchasing from local farmers when ever possible
