1 CODE ITEM DETAILS CREDIT SOUGHT TOTAL AVAILABLE MEANS OF COMPLIANCE EVIDENCE SUBMITTED SENT category 1 Energy and Carbon Dioxide Emmissions ENE 1 Energy and Carbon Dioxide Emissions Mandatory Element:Achieve % improvement 2010 in DER over TER> 2.0 All dwellings will have to achieve a percentage improvement of dwelling emission rate relative to the target emission rate, this will be done by building the units to the correct details energy system to be arranged. This will be calculated within the SAPs. As Designed SAP compliance sheets. Full SAP report & schedule. Full set of drawings and elevations. ENE 2 Fabric Energy Efficiency Credits are awarded on a sliding scale. The scale is based on increments of 0.1 credits. 2 Dwelling types are considered, Apartment blocks/mid terrace. &End terrace, Semis and detached houses To help improve fabric energy efficiency performance so future proofing reductions in CO2 for the life of the dwelling, On this development, With a mixture of dwellings they need to acheive a FEE of between At present we have 5 plots that miss this credit but by dropping the airpermeability target this will enable 3 credits on all but 1 plot. Full SAP report and schedule. Terraces and flats will score higher here with less exposed wall. Detached units often do not score any credits. ENE 3 Energy Display Devices ENE 4 Drying space ENE 5 Energy Labelled White Goods ENE 6 External lighting ENE 7 Low /Zero Carbon tec. Where current electricity AND/ OR priimary heating fuel consumption data are displayed to occupants by a correctly specified energy display device, If boththen 2 credits can be sought. Min. 4m line for 2-bed; 6m for 3+ beds. (Rotary clothes driers if specified by H.A.) Details needed for foundation & fixing as well as drier. Could be internal (esp. flats) e.g. over bath If no white goods supplied information has to be provided to every house on the EU Energy Efficiency Labelling Scheme. Additional credit available if white goods fitted, fridge or fridge/freezers must be A+ rated External space lighting to be dedicated energy efficient fittings with appropriate conrtol systems. Security lighting must also have maximum wattage 150W & daylight cutoff sensors; burglar alarm lights need PIR as well. Reduction on carbon emissions through renewable or low carbon technologies, should help to reduce running costs by supplying a significant proportion of the energy demand. 1 2 The correctly specified energy display device is dedicated to the dwelling, The consumption data displayed by the correctly specified EDD must be confirmed. All Flats will have a retractableline fitted in the bathroom where suitable ventilation is available. Line will be at least 4m in length and will be a permanent fixture. The leaflet about the EU Energy Efficiency Labelling Scheme is included in the property Health & Safety file which is delivered to every dwelling before handover. The scheme is also referred to in the Home User Guide that is left in each dwelling under Man 1. All dwellings will have external lights with dedicated low energy fittings with a luminous efficacy of 40 lumens per circuit watt or higher. If security lighting is provided it will have a max. wattage of 150 W and will be fitted with PIR and daylight sensors. 0 2 Fabric first approach House type electrical layouts. Building Regulation Notes. Confirmation of order when appointed. All technical data surrounding the Energy Display Device Electrical supply only. Housetype drawings showing lines in place and specification. Draft Home User Guide, All EU labelling information. House type electrical layouts clearly showing the location of all external light fittings. The types of light fitting and efficacy, in lumens per circuit watt, for all lamps. The control systems applicable to each light fitting or group of fitting.confirmation of order when appointed Need confirmation that the LZC's meet any additional requirements defined in Directive 2009/28/EC as applicable and are certified under the microgeneration certificate scheme or under the CHPQA standard. To encourage the construction of homes that are accessible and easily adaptable to meet the changing needs of current and future occupants Kitchens with average daylighting factor> 2% = 1 credit Living room, dining, study, home office daylighting factor> 1.5% = 1 credit, *0 % of working plane in above rooms receives direct light from sky = 1 Credit, confirmation from the developer that the calculations accurately reflect the dwelling as designed. Sound testing to be used on all separating walls and floors between habitable spaces. This will be gained if there is disabled access to the rear gardens, this must be constructed in line with Part M of the building regulations, and ensuring that the acess does not have a change in height of more than 15mm.(Level) Where all principles of lifetime homes applicable to the dwelling being assessed have been complied with. Adopt Best Practice for water pollution from site. 80% of timber is reclaimed, re-used or responsibly sourced. To gain these credits we will do the following; - Monitor our water usage on site, this will be carried out at the start of each month, recorded and sent back to Chris and sue targets will also have to be noted, once you have received the monthly meter recording this will be put in to KPIs and the graph will be issued to site, the current months graph must be on show within the site office. - Monitor our electricity usage on site, this will be carried out at the start of each month, recorded and sent back to Chris and sue targets will also have Copy of site safety manual. to be noted, once you have received the monthly meter recording this will Checklist MAN 3 KPI (key performance indicators) see be put in to KPIs and the graph will be issued to site, the current months graph must be on show within the site office. - Adopt best practice policies in respect of air (dust) pollution arising from site activities - Adopt best practice policies in respect of water (ground and surface) pollution occurring on the site. 80% of timber is reclaimed, re-used or respondsibly sourced. MAN 4 Security ALO consulted at design stage and all reccommendations are adopted. To gain these credits we must achieve section 2 - physical security from secured by design - new homes (full compliance with Secured by Design is not required), SDB certificates for the windows and doors. Copy of ALO appointment if available, Copy of letter confirming compliance with part 2 SBD.

5 category 9 Ecology 4 9 ECO 1 Ecological Value of Site ECO 2 Ecological Enhancement ECO 3 Protection of Ecological Features ECO 4 Change in Ecological Value of Site ECO 5 Building Footprint Development land has inherently low ecological value Can relate to just the construction zone if ecologically valuable areas outside the zone are protected. A Suitably Qualified Ecologist has been appointed to recommend appropriate features to enhance the site. All key recommendations must be adopted plus 30% of additional recommendations. All existing features of ecological value on site are protected for the duration of the works Overall change in species per hectare is Minor negative change of -3 to -9 = 1 credit Neutral change of -3 to +3 species = 2 credits Minor enhancement +3 to +9 species = 3 credits Major enhancement greater than +9 = 4 credits Credits to encourage higher density development. Houses: ratio of net internal floor area to net ground floor area is 2.5:1 = 1 credit Apartments ratio 3:1 = 1 credit Houses ratio 3:1 = 2 credits Apartments 4:1 = 2 credits 0 1 Where an independant ecological report of the site, prepared by a suitably qualified ecologist, confirms that the construction zone is of low or insignificant ecological value. All key reccomendations to be adopted as well as 30% of the additional reccomendations. Ecology report, Ecology report, Commitment to protection of features during construction. Ecology report, 0 4 Neutral change Ecology report, More credits may be available this depends on the report. NIFA and NIGFA calculations to show the ratio, Drawings and floor plans.
