51 Process Description SCR process is based on the chemical reduction of the NOx molecule. A gas-phase ammonia based reducing reagent is injected into the post combustion flue gas. Ammonia reagent reacts selectively with NOx molecules within a specific temperature range, in the presence of a catalyst and oxygen to convert the NOx molecules into molecular Nitrogen (N2) and water vapor (H2O).
