2 Sustainability Performance Indicators The following pages provide an overview of our corporate activities from 2013 to on the basis of various Group performance indicators, which are grouped into the areas environment, economy, transport, safety, and human resources. The environmental performance indicators apply to the period from July 1, 2015, to June 30,. 3 Sustainability Performance Indicators 3 Environmental Performance Indicators We display the environmental performance indicators both as absolute values and in relation to gross value added (GVA) (EBITDA adjusted for personnel expenses). The relation to gross value added is used to compensate for growth. Where targets are specified, data related to gross value added are used. 8 8 Sustainability Performance Indicators Economic Performance Indicators Gross value added is used as a reference figure for the environmental performance indicators. This calculation compensates for the increase in consumption due to growth. 9 Sustainability Performance Indicators 9 Safety Performance Indicators In, all accident figures improved compared to the previous year. However, the upper limits that ALTANA set itself could not be kept for two of the three indicators he year under review (WAI 1 and WAI 2). The indicator WAI 3 was below the upper limit. Relevant measures were introduced in all divisions to achieve the targets set for the subsequent years.
