Distance Requirements For New Wells In The State of Texas The State of Texas has set minimum distance requirements for new wells. These rules keep wells away from property lines, septic tanks, septic fields, and sewer lines. The rules help prevent the contamination of the aquifer. The state requires that a standard well annulus be cemented 10 from the surface. With this completion method, the well must be 50 from property lines, 50 from septic tanks, and 100 from septic fields. Standard Cemented Well If the new well is too close, the well can be pressure cemented. This will allow the property line to be as close as 5 away and the septic field can be up to 50 away. The septic tank must maintain the 50 setback as well. Pressure Cemented Well For wells that are installed where the area is serviced by a city sewer system, new wells must be 5 from property lines and 50 from all sewer lines. Well Near Sewer Line Some groundwater districts have setback requirements that supersede the state requirements. These setbacks vary from district to district. Check with us about the distance requirements and possible exceptions for your site.

Trinity, Glenrose & Edwards formations of Central TX The layers of limestone and clay that lay below our feet are very fascinating. The layers slope downward to the Southeast and rise to the Northwest. Generally, most recharge for these formations occur where the porous layers of the rock outcrop to the surface. The main production zones are the Edwards, the Glenrose layers and the Lower Trinity. The Glenrose and the Lower Trinity make up the Trinity Aquifer, while the Edwards is a separate aquifer. In most cases, the thickness and porosity of the formations are smaller as they rise toward the surface. This means that they produce less volume and are more prone to be affected by droughts. Formations that are deeper are generally thicker and have more substantial porosity. This leads to higher flows and longer drought tolerances. Conversely, the water quality tends to be degraded the longer the water stays in the formation. Therefore, the deeper zones have poorer quality water than those in more shallow layers.

Submersible Water Well System with Hide a Well Many of our clients are concerned about the final look of the equipment. For those special sites that require a smaller profile, we have developed the Hide-a-Well completion method. This technology is not new, but it is rarely used in Texas. It was developed for cold climate areas where there are freeze concerns. But, the technology does work well to provide you with a very small well head. As you can see in the picture, the well head can be as small as 13 in height and 5 in diameter. The cost to install this option is very similar to the standard completion methods. Of course, we only use brass equipment to prevent corrosion and top it off with an aluminum well cover. The equipment can be painted or easily covered to conceal the well. Wellhead measuring only 13 high.

Storage Tank Systems submersible pump on/off storage tank pressure tank booster pump on/off temporarily well head booster pump booster pump on/off permanently Tired of sulfur gas in your well water? Our system lets the gas escape naturally by aeration. Like carbonation in a soft drink, the gas only escapes when the liquid is not under pressure. This occurs inside the tank and the gas is vented out. Need a backup water system in case of submersible pump failure? The storage tank can give you a reservoir of water that can be used if your well pump fails. The customer can select the amount of reserved water which can be accessed by flipping a single switch. Then with careful use of your remaining water you can continue to have full flow and pressure while we service your well. If necessary, your storage tank can be filled by a local water delivery service. How about more water pressure and better flow? Yes, a storage tank can do this for you even if your well produces only one gallon per minute. With a storage tank you may never know that you have a weak well. Are you tired of replacing the submersible pump in your well? With a storage tank your pump will have about one tenth the number of starts. This will double or triple the life of your pump. Before After Do you have sediment in your water? A storage tank can let the sand, rust, or limestone settle to the floor of the tank. If necessary, the tank can be cleaned out every few years through a manhole cover built into the lid. It also removes all iron and gives you gravity fed water during power outages. At Bee Cave Drilling, Inc., our objective is to make owning a water well a pleasure. Most of our customers are thrilled with their water well. We would like the opportunity to change your opinion about yours. Give us a call, and we will come to your location, explain our various systems, and give you a free estimate on site. We welcome the opportunity to earn your business. Here are some examples of how you can get creative with your storage tank covers!

No-Spill-Drill Our customers are often surprised by the mess that is created during the drilling process. In some cases, the cost to clean up the drilling cuttings and restore the site to original conditions can be very expensive. Some sites are so sensitive that you can t spill drill cuttings on the ground. If this sounds like your site, don t worry. We have a solution. We bring in a container to catch all drilling cuttings and water. Then we haul it off and you are left with a clean site.

PumpSaver If you want to protect your pump from dry run, rapid cycle, and low voltage, the PumpSaver is the product to get. It watches the power used by the motor and shuts the motor off if the conditions are not ideal. If the pump runs out of water, the pump shuts down and automatically restarts after a delay. It also protects the pvc production pipe and casing from heat damage. Solar Pumps If you don t have power to your site, we can still give you water. Recent advances in solar technology have made this a viable option for many customers. Prices are now very reasonable for this growing business. If you need a solar pumping system, ask us how we can custom design a system to fit your needs.

Constant Pressure Systems Constant pressure is something that all our customers demand. Gone are the days of fluctuating pressure from your grandfather s water well. Today, we offer a full line of constant pressure options to fit any need. Ask us how we can build your system with a constant pressure pump. Bulk Water Delivery We deliver water too! If your tank is low, call us for a load of water. We offer reasonable rates and will do whatever we can to get your water system on today.

Preferred Partners We are asked on a daily basis, Do you know someone who does? Yes! We have partnered up with other companies that supply their clients with the same level of customer service, honesty and integrity that we deliver to our own. Please browse the following pages, and if you choose one of our Preferred Partners, please tell them Bee Cave Drilling sent me when you call. You will be well taken care of! 14 Preferred Realtors List We have a vast number of real estate professionals that we work with. They coordinate with our staff to ensure the well on a property is in good working order. We also advise them of any recommendations we may have to make the system more efficient. This pertains to both existing wells, and to property that will need a well in the future. Never buy a property without calling and requesting either a well inspection, or a well estimate. We will help you set your expectations on well cost, and water availability. A good realtor will always advise you to consult with a quality well professional.
