2 It's that time of the year again to empty out your garage of unwanted items. Last year's Garage Sale was such a success that we are all excited about doing it again this year. The Annual Garage Sale is planned for Saturday, May 20th from 8 AM to 2 PM. Garage sale permits will not be required. As in past years, newspaper ads will be placed with the Boeme newspapers and in the San Antonio Express News in a timely manner so that we generate interest in our community event. You can also help by spreading the word to those you now. Signs will also be posted in strategic locations on Boeme Stage Road and around the neighborhood. Please mar your home with balloons. We as you to leave the balloons up if you have any items to donate to The Kendall County Women's Shelter. They will come by after the end of the sale. CBNEWS@GVTC.COM if you plan to participate and have not already signed up on Nextdoor or in a previous . Sale Time: 8am to 2pm Kendall County Women's Shelter will pic up after 2pm. Page 2

6 A covenant is a contract drawn up by deed. When you bought your property a specific covenant was made part of your deed and states various restrictions; the intent of which is to protect property values. We are a volunteer home owners association and depend on each resident to respect our neighbors property and maintain our own in accordance with the covenants. Our architectual control committee has been very effective in resolving complaints about covenant abuses. Although legal actions have been taen in the past, the most cost effective and friendly way of resolving these issues has been just communicating the concerns to the individuals involved. Rather than some overbearing management company, we prefer woring together in maintaining our properties. Copies of the covenants are posted on the CBHOA Web countrybendhoa.org Here is an example. 13. BOAT AND TRAILER PARKING. No boat, trailer, non-operating vehicle, camper body, or similar vehicle shall be pared for storage in the driveway or front yard of any dwelling, nor shall any such vehicle be pared for storage in the sideyard of any dwelling unless pared to the rear of a screen fence. THESE COVENANTS are to run with the land and shall be binding on all parties and all persons claiming under them until January 1, 2010, at which time said Covenants shall be automatically extended for successive periods of ten (10) years unless by vote of a majority of the then owners of the lots, it is agreed to change said Covenants in whole or in part. 7 Always have water ready if you are shooting firewors. Teach children not to wave sparlers, or run, while holding sparlers. Sparler wire and stic remain hot long after the flame has gone out. Be sure to drop spent sparlers in a bucet of water. Parents should not allow young children to handle or use firewors. Know your firewors. Read the caution label before igniting. Wear safety glasses whenever using firewors. Never relight a dud firewor. Wait 20 minutes and then soa it in a bucet of water. Soa spent firewors with water before placing them in an outdoor garbage can. Page 7
