18 Conclusions EU regulations 834/ /2009 statutory INAO (linked with french ministery of fisheries) Certification companies (Organismes certificateurs) «Understanding guideline» (guide de lecture) not statutory but «as if» Harvesters Fishermen Transformation companies - 3 years to fully implement the European Organic Seaweed Regulation - French stakeholders very active to promote French seaweed and comply with European regulations - Process still ongoing - Need to modify the Europen Regulations in order to apply scientific relevant criteria
