5 Installation The installation of LED Tubes may only be performed in the stress-free state and only by trained personnel. The can be operated indoors in dry environments and in outdoor areas only in combination with an IP-certified. 1. Fluorescent with a conventional or low loss ballast For existing installation with convention/ low loss ballast, the starter of the fluorescent needs to be removed and replaced with the supplied starter dummy. Electronic ballast available - (conversion option) For existing installation with electronic ballast, the ballast must be removed and the LED Tube must be connected according to the illustrated connection principle. LED tube with starter holder and inserted Starter Dummy For existing installation of LED tube with starter holder and starter jumper a simple replacement has to be done. A rewiring or change of the installation is not required. 4.
