16 Initiatives supported by the IAEA: ELINDER and SHARE ELINDER : European Learning Initiative for Nuclear Decommissioning and Environmental Remediation; Theoretical and practical learning for professionals entering the field; Collaboration involving several major institutions providing nuclear training in Europe, including a number of Universities First cycle of training courses from SHARE : Coordination of R&D for decommissioning; Involvement by major European and international organizations undertaking decommissioning-related research; Collaboration with OECD-Nuclear Energy Agency and European Commission First step ( ) is an analysis of research needs and identification of potential common projects; Potential for programme of coordinated future research in identified domains. 16
