5 The Green Building: Issues Governor Decree No. 38/2012 on Green Buildings It s not enough to pushed stakeholders/no significant change Lack of awareness, education and information on the benefits of green building construction across all stakeholders WHY? Not Everybody Feels the need There s No financial incentives/no attraction/financial Benefit Challenge in promoting the green building movement

Each of these meetings was attended by stakeholders. Including local Gov, Central Gov, institutional partners, NGOs, experts, academics, practitioners. - Formulating the content of the grand design through Jakarta s Grand Design Green Building: Workshop - Forming a Working Group

11 Grand Design Green Building Targets: 30% Energy Savings 3785 GWh Vision 30% Water Savings 2,4 Billion litres On 2030*: 30% CO₂ Reduction 3,37 Million tons CO₂e Mission Electric energy savings of 3,785 GWh can be used to illuminate more than 32 thousand units House / Flats 1300 W until 2030 Water energy savings of 2,4 billion liter equal with water consumption for > 1100 unit houses/flats until 2030 CO 2 emission reduction 3,37 million ton CO2e equal with CO₂ reduction from trees planted until 2030 Center of Excellence on Green Buildings in Indonesia 100% New Buildings will comply GB requirements 60% Existing Building will comply GB requirements
