17 Our products and customers Kellogg s inner bags of cereal cartons are made of DuPont Surlyn. They can easily be opened by consumers but stay intact during transport. DuPont Tyvek Air Cargo Covers offer an innovative breakthrough for the transportation of temperature sensitive air cargo for the Luxembourg Cargolux Airlines. Increasing food production Our DuPont seed division Pioneer Hi-Bred works in Ethiopia individually with small scale farmers to increase their productivity. DuPont Altacor received exceptional authorization from the Spanish government for the control of Tuta Absoluta (the South American pinworm) in tomato crops in Spain.

Decreasing dependency on fossil fuels RATP, the Paris public transport authority, installed about 100 SLIM and Bio-SLIM traction transformers from CG Power Systems International Belgium with DuPont Nomex thermal protection in and around Paris to supply electric power to the underground and suburban rail systems. uses DuPont Solamet awarded with the 2010 U.K. Queen s Award for Innovation for increasing energy efficiency of solar cells.
