Tank Cleaning We will work with you at all stages to ensure a successful, stringently monitored and controlled solution to your tank and boiler cleaning needs. We can clean, decontaminate and descale tanks of any size, whatever has been stored in them, and have dedicated highly-trained teams for this service. Our personnel are trained in confined space entry, correct use of BA equipment, gas monitoring, adherence to method statements and permit to work application. Working in confined spaces can be very dangerous. We pay strict attention to the health and safety of our personnel. In order to clean your tank, we will make an initial risk assessment and provide a method statement before we begin the process, so you can be reassured that the cleaning operation is safe and professional and that all permits and protection equipment deployed meet the demands of the job. We can manage the removal of dry materials such as dust, sand, ash and hard core from your bunkers, boiler flues and chimneys. For fluids, effluent slurries and silt, we can deploy Jet Vac units which can draw from depths of 40m (130ft). Page: 4

Lagoon Cleaning We offer a full range of lagoon cleaning services which include the extraction, treatment and disposal of sludge materials. All sludge recovered from the lagoon can be removed and treated on-site using a mobile de-canter unit that provides a de-watering and stabilising process that safely treats sludges and other organic wastes. The unit can process the sludge output of a plant serving a population up to 150,000, processing between cubic metres per hour with 5% solids content. As part of the stabilisation process, we can add Bio Lime to the dewatered sludge. This causes a temperature rise to 70 degrees C which pasteurises the sludge, reducing pathogens such as salmonella and e.coli and reducing unpleasant odours. The remaining product can be used as an effective organic fertiliser or soil ameliorant. The de-canter unit can also centrifuge and process hazardous liquid sludges to produce an effluent liquor and a hard cake, both of which can be transported to our facilities for processing if desired. Page: 5

Pumping Station Cleaning Effective and efficient pumping stations are vital to the movement of materials. Poorly maintained pumping stations can lead to blockages, floods or, at worst, a breakdown of the entire system, which can lead to risks to health and environmental damage. Our skilled and highly trained and qualified teams will use state-of-the-art equipment to clean and maintain your pumping station and to deal with blockages and the safe, regulated removal of material in the event of a pumping station breakdown. Our Jet Vac tankers can remove heavy debris and silt from culverts for distances up to 400 metres (1300ft). We can also provide maintenance contracts and pumping station management services which will remove the maintenance requirement from the customer. You can benefit from a planned programme of cleaning that will minimise the risk of pump damage and excessive wear and tear. Page: 6

High Pressure Sewer Jetting High pressure jetting is a method of cleaning drains, sewers of silt debris and encrustations that is fast and cost-effective. It can also be deployed to clear blockages and cut through root invasions. We will drive a jet nozzle forward through a pipe using water pressure. When the hose is winched back, the outflowing water carries the debris with it and it is removed by vacuum hose on our tanker. Clean water can be decanted on site, reducing the amount of waste we need to carry away. We have made continual investment in our equipment, our fleet is extensive and versatile, making us one of the leading and best-equipped sewer cleaning organisation in the country. Page: 7

Liquid Waste Removal And Transportation We have long experience of managing liquid waste of all kinds. We operate an extensive fleet of vacuum and road tankers of varying capacities and capabilities, including vacuum tankers with capacities from gallons. 9 Hazardous Liquid Waste Removal And Transportation We can advise you on the best method of removing and dealing with your hazardous liquid waste in a way that complies fully with the legal requirements, including those wastes regulated under Section 62 of the Environmental Protection Act. We operate an extensive fleet of vacuum and road tankers of varying capacities and capabilities, including vacuum tankers with capacities from gallons. All bulk wastes are transported on ADR-specified vehicles by qualified and experienced ADR drivers and all consignments are covered by a Transport Emergency Card (tremcard), which is carried in the cab of the vehicle that is transporting dangerous goods by road and contains instructions and information that the driver can refer to in the event of an incident involving the hazardous load. We can remove and transport a wide range of bulk wastes, including oils, solvents, acids, alkalis, hydrocarbons, chlorinated and non-chlorinated solvents and effluent sludge. We can handle these wastes in tanker IBC, drum or small pack form. We can also offer the services of one of our qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers. Page: 9

Mobile Dewatering Plants Our mobile dewatering equipment is a way of dealing with solids suspended in liquids to reduce their volumes by producing dry cakes and water which can go back into your process. Our mobile de-canter units provide a dewatering and stabilising process that safely treats sludges and other organic wastes. Page: 10

Mobile Lime Stabilisation Plants Our can offer mobile plant to stabilise sludges using limes. This treatment is usually applied to liquid sewage sludge but can be deployed to stabilise other sludges. Principal chemical treatment processes include adding quicklime or hydrated lime. Hydrated lime will raise ph, whereas quicklime will give a rise in ph and temperature. This temperature rise to 70 degrees C pasteurises the sludge, reducing pathogens such as salmonella and e.coli and reducing unpleasant odours. The remaining product can be used as an effective organic fertiliser or soil ameliorant. Page: 11

Oil Collection And Recycliing Tanker Hire Irish Waste Services can provide the removal and transportation of a wide range of bulk waste streams. Some examples of materials transported include acid, alkali, hydrocarbons, chlorinated and non-chlorinated solvent and effluent sludge. To facilitate the CDG/CPL regulations and other legislation surrounding the packaging, identification and transportation of waste, Irish Waste Services has developed specialist software for waste categorisation and label generation. All bulk wastes are transported on ADR specified vehicles with suitably qualified and highly experienced ADR drivers. Water Cooled Tanker Hire For Ships The high volumes of liquid and distances the material needs to be pumped can make the removal of liquid bilge waste from ships a difficult process, especially because of the high level of strain on pumps running continuously to cope with the large volumes to be removed. Our tankers have been fitted with water-cooled pumps which allow smooth and continuous running, enabling large volumes of material to be moved in a short time, resulting in a faster, more efficient turnaround time. We also manage all necessary paperwork, including Environment Agency consignment notes and waste reports. Waste materials collected from site can be transported to our licensed facilities for treatment and recovery of recyclable content. We can collect and process the full range of marine waste oils. 28 Material Recycling Facility Our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) allows us to recover any materials from household refuse that have the potential to be recycled. These include cardboard, paper, plastics and metals. We use a number of methods to separate these materials, including manual and automated systems. All recovered materials are segregated by type and then reprocessed. This reduces the environmental impact of the subsequent manufacturing process and can also create a valuable source of income from your waste. In our MRF, the materials are fed onto conveyors and subjected to mechanical and magnetic sorting procedures, as well as human operators. Each type of material is segregated for reprocessing, including the non-recyclable waste which is then processed for disposal. Page: 28

Dry Mixed Recyclables The easiest way to save money on your waste disposal costs is to segregate at source. Separating mixed dry recyclables from your general waste is simple to do and significantly reduces the amount of waste destined for landfills. Our helpful and efficient sales staff will take your payment details over the telephone. We accept payment by all major credit cards. For established customers we offer a credit facility. Please contact our office and speak to our Accounts Department for further details How long will it take to get to me? Generally it will arrive the next day or sometimes same day, but this depends on your location and the time of order. Although in some circumstances a permit may be required. We would need prior warning in this situation as this process can take up to 3 days. How will my skip arrive? We normally deliver your skip via LGV skip lorries, which are usually large. Ideally, your drive needs to be a minimum of 2.75 metres wide for a normal skip truck. When skips are ordered we will enquire about the conditions of the location, so please advise us of any access issues. Where can the skips be placed? We will place your skip in the best position to suit your need. This could be on your driveway or on the road. You will need a permit to allow you to have the skip on the road. The council needs 3 days notice when applying for permits. You will also need the correct signage and lights. If you cannot place on private land, (remember the grass verge outside your house may not be owned by you!) PLEASE CALL US ON if you need assistance applying for a permit. When do I need a permit? Permits are required for skips that are placed on public land or the highway, by most local councils. We will advise you on whether you need a permit for your skip and in most cases we can assist you with this, although some local councils will require you to apply for the permit.

The maximum duration of a permit is 14 days. What can I put in it? Skips are for general waste (house/garage rubbish), garden waste and inert waste (soil, stone & gravel). Things NOT to put in a skip: Asbestos sheeting or fibres unless you have notified us in advance Paint, oils or any other liquids (empty / washed out tins are acceptable) Tyres Fridges and freezers (Please call us on for details on how to dispose of these wastes) How long can I keep the skip? Our standard skip hire lasts for 7 days. Although, we can alter this to fit your requirements. If you require a permit to allow your skip to be placed on public land, this can be arranged for a maximum of 14 days. The rental charge past the first 7 days is 10 per week. Will the skip damage my drive? Skips can damage block paved and soft tarmac drives when skips are placed on them. Heavy duty skips, which use stabilising equipment, could also cause damage to softer driveways. While we will take every care possible to avoid damaging your drive, please note that once we vacate the highway, you automatically agree to indemnify us for any damage that occurs whilst on your property. What if I'm not finished by pick-up day? Please let us know if you need the skip for an extended time. We hold many skips so we can be fairly flexible if this situation arises. If you require an extension on a permit, the skip may need to be removed during the process. Do you recycle my waste? Irish Waste Services Limited operates a state of the art recycling facility. Waste is tipped via skip vehicles / council vehicles / walking floors and dustbin lorries at the materials recycling facilities. The waste is then processed through the various processing stages to extract the different materials within the waste.

Waste Traceability (cradle To Grave) In keeping with our Duty of Care policy and environmental promise Irish Waste place extreme emphasis to ensure that the maximum amount of wastes received at our facility are processed there. This provides our customers with the comfort and knowledge that their waste s have been processed and treated and not transferred on to alternate plants and facilities. This in turn ensures that customer requirements under the Waste Duty of Care regulations have been met and the waste has been delivered to the grave. In turn Irish Waste place great emphasis on ensuring any waste produced at their treatment facility is recovered, re-used or recycled prior to final disposal. Final waste disposal facilities used by Irish Waste are rigorously audited to ensure they are licensed and process the wastes in an environmentally safe manner. Final waste disposal is also included within the scope for our ISO accreditation. Irish Waste s treatment facility retain complete traceability for all waste streams received, processed and disposed of. This information including the relevant documentation is available at the touch of a button from our bespoke IT platform. To ensure that all treatment processes, documentation and disposal outlets are compliant Irish Waste s directors have decreed that their regulator The Northern Ireland Environment Agency have complete access to all processes and documentation without the requirement for prior visitation or audit notification. Page: 62

Vehicle Tracking Irish Waste s fleet of vehicles are fitted with second by second tracking systems. These systems not only allow us to pinpoint the location of a vehicle we can also monitor the following: Any unauthorised stoppages. Any excessive acceleration and braking The volume of fuel used The time the vehicle arrived and left the customers site. Our vehicle tracking system provides a visual mapped location of the vehicle fleet at all times. We also have the facility of being able to access numerous reports to drill down on any anomalies or issues which may occur. Page: 63

Reporting Irish Waste can provide all of their customers with detailed information on the waste volumes they have received and their service costs. However today s environmental management systems and environmental compliance demand greater detail. Irish Waste have in turn developed through their bespoke IT platform customer reporting which will not only provide everything from the initial customer enquiry and quotation to service details to invoice and all of the supporting documents but also a full and complete breakdown of their waste treatment process, how the waste was processed, the volumes and percentages of material recovered and recycled along with the necessary regulatory codes such as EWC, SIC, R&D etc. The system also has the flexibility to provide bespoke reporting of data to customers detailing their exact requirements for upload into their own platforms and systems in a seamless manner. Irish Waste will be rolling out direct access for customers to attain their own reports via our customer log in link. Page: 64
