Based on operational experiences for power generation and heat supply, we will cover mechanical aspects of new and existing land based gas turbine operation and maintenance, ranging from 1MW to greater than 300MW. User groups are built around informal presentations and discussion forums, promoting networking and sharing experience among the gas turbine community. He has worked on investigations covering a variety of issues on a wide range of sizes, ages and makes of industrial and power generation gas turbines, both for gas turbine operators and for insurance companies. KEVIN BARKER ENGINEERING MANAGER, INTERGEN Kevin Barker is an Engineering Manager at InterGen, working on various projects ranging from new CCGT developments to technical assessments supporting InterGen s existing fleet in the UK and Netherlands. Prior to this he worked for PB Power, where he was involved in various aspects of power generation consulting, including performance assessment and testing, lenders technical advisor, and development support. MARK HEDGES HEAD OF ASSET PLANNING, CENTRICA ENERGY THERMAL POWER GENERATION Mark Hedges has worked in various power generation sectors, primarily in operational roles on waste incinerators and on CCGT plants. More recently has worked in a role liaising between energy traders and power stations to ensure that the stations are dispatched and modelled to the right technical parameters and that the operational sites understand the market environment in which they operate. DAVID SMITH SENIOR ENGINEERING SPECIALIST, FM GLOBAL NORTHERN EUROPEAN OPERATIONS David joined FM Global in 1993 working on property risk evaluations at numerous large industrial sites throughout the UK, Scandinavia, the Middle East and Southern Africa.
