Keynote: Transformational Change In 2013, two giants of the construction materials industry, Lafarge UK and Anglo American s Tarmac business, combined in a new 50:50 joint venture to create the ultimate sustainable construction solutions provider. The new company, Lafarge Tarmac operates from 330 sites across the UK, with 6,600 employees and sales of almost 2 billion per annum. Joanne will share the huge challenges involved in bringing together two cultures, three head offices and many different business and HR processes to create a high performing and ambitious new entity, including: supporting employees for two years through the change process creating a vision and strategy for the new organisation building new teams creating new strategic HR frameworks for performance, organisation and people, and employee engagement.
