Why Coaching? Personal and Professional Development Coaching has been demonstrating value for more than 20 years and in the last 5 or so has grown in popularity in extreme ways. The receipt of coach-specific training was also very high among managers/leaders using coaching skills, with 93% reporting that they have received training. Almost three in four (73%) reported receiving accredited or approved coach-specific training. Among coach practitioners who reported receiving coach-specific training, more than two in three (68%) have completed 125-plus hours of coach-specific training. Fewer managers/leaders said they had received 125-plus hours of coach-specific training (42%). However, almost one in four managers/leaders using coaching skills (23%) reported receiving 200-plus hours of training. This course starts in an online private portal with semi-self-paced lessons and includes (two) live webinar style classes with approx.. 30 days to complete requirements. She focuses on fostering leadership potential and maximizing resiliency in individuals and organizations. Her background includes 15+ years working across public, private and nonprofit sectors in strategic communications, program development, reputation management and organizational effectiveness. LaCosta brings insights from Interpersonal Neurobiology, (IPNB) the study of neuroscience, psychology and relationships into much of her work.
