4 Introduction of Circular No.3/2010 of Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) to subsidize JC training & JC service provision; Providing allowances for the Job Coaches (maximum 60 hours [RM ] in 6 month per person); Appointing State Officer in charge on Job Coach (at each state office of the DSW); Introducing three (3) training modules in Job Coach. As of August 2012, 453 persons have been trained and participated in 15 Job Coach training courses; Publishment of four (4) books on Job Coach in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Malay Language); Improving the network and smart partnerships on supported employment with the participation of NGOs and private sectors.

8 RESPONSIBILITIES OF SOCIAL WELFARE DEPARTMENT, MINISTRY OF WOMEN, FAMILY AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MALAYSIA To provide and manage relief/evacuation centres and forward-supply bases. To prepare and distribute food, clothing and other essential items to the affected victims. To register the disaster victims for purpose of rehabilitation. To provide guidance, advice/counselling services to the affected victims.

10 RESPONSIBILITIES OF MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCES Job Sustainability Compensation employers are urged to pay workers wages for the period they are unable to attend work due to natural disasters right of employees to payment of termination benefits in the event of termination of contract of service Job Placement placement of job seekers including the socially vulnerable groups (PWDs and the elderly) through JobsMalaysia Portal or Job Placement Programmes

14 The success and effectiveness of disaster management depends on the cooperation, understanding and capabilities of all the agencies in fulfilling their responsibilities. Various efforts are being carried out by the government through relevant agencies including NGOs to ensure that vulnerable groups are not marginalized or left behind in the efforts of the country moving towards a caring society.
