3 Early Events June 2004 Cabinet of Ministers decides to begin higher degree courses in Aviation. July 2004 Cabinet appointed committee begins to meet. Aug 2004 University of Moratuwa indicates willingness to offer a course including aviation and other areas under transport. Sept 2004 University Grants Commission agrees in principle for a BSc in Transport & Logistics Management course proposed by UoM. Nov 2004 Faculty of Engineering appoints Task Force April 2005 Departmental Advisory Committee appointed 1 st Aug 2005 Creation of New Department and appointment of Head 26 th July st Student Intake (2005 A/L batch) 26 th July rd Student intake (2007 A/L batch)
