8 Trøndelag Regional development and transportation Trøndelag is an important part of Norway Trøndelag it has strong growth and some of the biggest industrial business areas are located in the region The sea industries in the coastal part at Nordmøre, Hitra and Frøya Oil industries and supplement in Orkanger,Stjørdal and Verdal Paper industries in Skogn Ship building and supplies in Nordmøre and Fosen Agriculture in Nord-Trøndelag Education and development in Trondheim NTNU

9 Transportation The market for business is mostly outside the region. This create transportation in and out of the region but also within. Railway, boats, trucks and plane serve the region with transportation. Because of the infrastructure and the geographical challenges truck is the best alternative for transportation within the region. There are special challenges during the winter period. Under such conditions it s important to have an efficient transportation chain for the suppliers and we have to develop the terminals and harbors to achieve this.

10 OTTS AS as a part of the transport chain in Trøndelag OTTS AS transports currently large volumes in to and out of mid- Norway. From and to the east, we have between trucks per day and this is distributed either directly or through our terminal in Orkanger (Orkanger Terminal). In addition, we handle trucks from the west coast and Sweden. The cargo is everything from food, fish, consumer goods, building products, etc. In addition, OTTS also is one of the largest suppliers of mass transportation, especially asphalt transportation. This shows that OTTS is a very important provider of transport in mid- Norway. Because of this we also see great opportunities with Hitra Port.

11 Major challenges with today's 714, but the "new" 714 will provide opportunities. Today we have major challenges with Highway 714, especially in the winter. Many trucks are not equipped for Norwegian winter (and this creates great challenges)which affect the ability to deliver. When 714 is improved, this together with Hitra Port will provide great opportunities for distribution from Hitra. OTTS is today operating many cars to and from Hitra / Frøya. Our cargo is fish transport (outbound), distribution of food, bread, soda / beer and consumables. Most of these trucks are returned empty to Orkanger / Trondheim and can be utilized much better. This can be done through good solutions via Hitra Port with return of fruit and vegetables. In addition, other consumables which OTTS is transporting today for wholesalers in the area can also be transported by boat and distributed from a base on Hitra.

12 Synergies between Hitra and Orkanger OTTS also sees great opportunities for transportation of cargo in containers to Hitra port and further distrubution from our terminal in Orkanger. Orkanger is a hub regarding distribution in central Norway, both in Trondheim, Nord-Trøndelag, Nordmøre, Fosen etc. Opportunities to see synergies between Hitra and Orkanger Port.
