This is because the MY-Series Extended comes standard with our latest version of the high-speed HYDRA mounthead with the Linescan Vision System, linear drive technology on the Y-axis, and a T-Series conveyor. In other words, it s a single platform machine that extends your possibilities for high/mid-mix, mid/low-volume production. Depending on the number of feeder positions you need, the Extended model comes in a range of sizes, from the MY9E on up to the MY19E with as many as mm feeder positions. Our highest throughput ever With the ability to increase your throughput 30 to 40%, the Extended model is our most productive machine model ever. This is primarily due to the fact that every model is equipped with our new 8-nozzle HYDRA Extended Range (ER) mounthead, a T3 internal conveyor, and the latest version of our TPSys operating software. The system can now place components like small 0201s and SO18s faster than ever before. Plus, thanks to the wide range of T-Series conveyors and the linear Y-unit, the MY-Series Extended can achieve faster accelerations and improved board transfers times. Looking to increase your throughput on smaller boards? You may want to consider a conveyor with board train functionality. With this feature, the external conveyors transport multiple boards onto the conveyor at the same time. The use of board trains both improves optimization and further increases throughput up to 30 to 40%, depending on the application. Extended component range With the Linescan camera as a standard feature, the MY-Series E becomes a true all-in-one machine. Thanks to Linescan, the HYDRA can mount all components from small 0201s to QFPs and BGAs. As an option, the machine can also be configured to handle connectors and other components that are up to 0.86 (22 mm) tall, so it s ready to mount today s growing number of odd-shaped components. Improved accuracy New and improved patent pending calibration routines in our TPSys software give the E model the accuracy necessary for today s smaller and more complex components. For fast and robust board handling, the new Y-unit on the MY-Series Extended model features state-of-the-art linear drive technology as standard. Plus with top reference board clamping, the boards are held tightly no matter the thickness or weight enabling fast and accurate component placement. Handle any type of boards Never turn down a customer because you can t build to their board specifications. The Extended model comes with a new T-Series conveyor, specially designed for a wider range of boards, from half-inch-thick boards and thin panels to large-sized backplanes. The T3 conveyor comes standard on the E model, but to handle bigger boards, the machine can be configured with a T4 or T5 conveyor. For unique, large-placement needs, it can even be fitted with the T6 conveyor, for a maximum placement area of 24 by 36. All T-Series conveyors can also use board train functionality as an option. Odd-shaped boards or prototypes? With a wide sensor beam, even odd-shaped boards with cut-outs are a cinch. Manual load adapters can also be inserted, enabling you to switch from volume production to prototyping at the drop of a hat. Future-proof tool bank The MY-Series Extended has all the tool positions you need for future production. There are four ATE tool banks, with a total of 64 tool positions, and dedicated space for special large tools such as grippers or large CCGA tools. As an added benefit, a release button on the tool bank is conveniently located for the operator, making it easy to load and unload boards.
