The Re.M Remote Monitoring system provides on-demand retrieval of operating, maintenance and troubleshooting information to help improving each machine s bottom-line performance. The new 3D GPS technology gives the input to develop an integrated system that automatically controls machine alignment and digging depth, with relevant benefits in jobsite management, machine performance and excavation accuracy. When completed, this modern marvel-style undertaking will comprise the largest desalination facilities in the Americas and two 75 mile (120 kilometers) pipeline. The new facility and water supply were deemed fundamental for the continued operation of the mining complex, therefore the project was appointed to a joint venture between two major experiences players: Bechtel Group and Techint.
