It was a fun filled road trip to sample the local delights that this popular Malaysian seaside town has to offer. The journey in the vehicle which started with a predawn meetup and ending late into the night, was organised in such a way that there are much opportunities for staff to interact with one and another. It was a great opportunity to cultivate togetherness, and fosters staff bonding, which is the building block for teamwork. 3 Wooden Packing Material Cargo to Brazil To help reduce the risk of introduction and spreading of pests in the country, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) had established new inspection procedures and phytosanitary certification packaging, media or goods pieces of wood imported or exported by Brazil, under Normative Instruction 32/2015 on 24 Sep In order to comply with the new Normative Instruction, the following data referring to any wood packaging contained in the shipment must be inserted on the cargo description for all shipments with effect from 1 st February 2016: Scope All Brazilian Import and Export cargo where packages and supports are made of wood materials of any kind. Responsible Party and Method Shippers at port of loading to insert the Types of Treatments in the Description of Goods when sending Shipping Instructions. Type of Treatments Wooden Packing: Processed Wood; Wooden Packing: Treated and Certified (the materials have been treated and/or fumigated and include a Certificate); Wooden Packing: Not Treated and not Certified (the materials have not been treated nor fumigated and do not include a Certificate); Wooden Packing: Not Applicable (when packing material is Not wooden).

4 Advance Cargo Declaration in the Philippines With immediate effect, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) requires all shipping lines/ship agents, Non Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOCCs), freight forwarders/cargo Consolidator/Co-loaders to electronically submit Cargo Declaration, Inward Foreign Manifest (IFM) and Consolidated Cargo Manifest (CCM) to the BOC within 24 hours from the time of departure of the carrying vessel from the port of origin under the Customs Administrative Order (CAO) On the other hand, for cargoes that are transported by a feeder vessel or any vessel with any port in the Philippines, the shipping line shall submit Cargo Declaration and IFM within 24 hours while the NVOCC/freight forwarders shall submit the CCM within 36 hours from the time of the departure of the said vessel from the last port of call. Additionally, for non containerized/bulk cargoes, the concerned shipping line shall submit the IFM within 24 hours, and the CCM shall be submitted by the NVOCC, if any, within 36 hours from the actual exporting port of origin.
