2 Antimicrobial Pulsed Lavage Disposable System Curtains ABOUT NSC ANTIMICROBIAL DISPOSABLE CURTAINS The NSC antimicrobial disposable hospital curtain range are high quality and available in various sizes and colours to suit any hospital department, day surgery, waiting room, emergency department, private clinic, aged care and other healthcare facility. Disposable curtains provide a cost effective long-term option than using and washing reusable curtains. Our curtains are: Flame retardant (FR) tested and are compliant with International Standards NFPA 701 and BS 5867 PART 2 TYPE C. This means the curtains remain FR protected for the lifetime of the curtain. Commonly used textile curtains can lose up to as much as 60% of their FR protection simply from the harsh laundering process. Require no laundering or costly initial capital expenditure Manufactured with anti-bacterial silver ion based treatment Lightweight - weigh less than 1kg each - reducing potential OH&S risks to personnel from lifting and carrying heavy reusable curtains Compatible with a majority of curtain tracks Easy to remove and install BENEFITS OF USING ANTIMICROBIAL DISPOSABLE CURTAINS ANTIMICROBIAL NSC antimicrobial disposable curtains have a silver ion based treatment added at the polypropylene (PP) mixing state. The PP fibres are inherently antimicrobial which means harmful bacteria is neutralised once it comes into contact with the surface of the fabric, directly helping reduce pathogenic transfer from the surface of the curtain to the patient or staff member. Curtains are proven effective against multiple organisms such as MRSA, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Aspergillus niger, Trycophyton mentagrophytes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Corneybacterium ammoniagenes.
