1 Availability and Sell Group Management Tool Quick Reference THREE METHODS TO DISPLAY GROUP AVAILIBILITY There are three methods you can use to display group/blocked space availability: Display general availability Group/blocked space automatically integrates with general City Pair Availability (CPA) displays. The system appends a blocked space available indicator (-B) to the end of any segments containing group/blocked space. A secondary entry is then needed to display the group/blocked space details. Display group specific availability Add a special group qualifier (*BLK) to general CPA entries to specify group availability only. Display Group Management Record (GMR) availability Group inventory also appears in the GMR and automatically updates as group seats are sold. Note: Your Employee Profile Record (EPR) must contain the keyword GMSELL for you to be able to display and sell from group Authorized branch access agencies with the GMSELL keyword can AAA to the PCC of the agency that created the GMR to view and/or sell the group/blocked space. 2 Display group specific availability Note: You can add the block space indicator (*BLK) to most variations of CPA entries. Adding *BLK to CPA entries automatically puts your computer into the GM mode. 3 S ELL GROUP FLIGHTS FORMAT There are two methods to see Group space seats: short sell entry from group specific availability display quick sell entry with the GMR record locator If you already know the GMR record locator, there is no need to display availability before the sell entry. Note: Your Employee Profile Record (EPR) must contain the keyword GMSELL for you to be able to display and sell from group Short sell from availability with the GMR record locator Note: The GMR record locator appears in the group specific availability display. 4 VIEW A GROUP ASSOCIATED PNR (GAP) Selling seats from a blocked space group automatically creates a Group Associated PNR (GAP). The GAP automatically cross references the GMR record locator in an OSI field. Also, the GMR lists all individual GAPs that were sold from the group/blocked space. As group seats are sold or cancelled, the system automatically updates group inventory in the GMR. The Deal Locator will be referenced in an OSI field in the GAP. When selling from a group/blocked space, some airlines may require you to add a corporate name field prior to making the sell entry. This corporate name field is in addition to the normal name field. Format example C/(number in party)(group name) -C/2SKY CLUB Normal PNR functions still apply to a GAP, such as pricing, ticketing, seats assignments, divide, reduce, etc. GAPs can have both group/blocked space segments and regular air, car, hotel, etc. segments You may not waitlist a GMR segment Increase party is not permitted on a Group Associated PNR United Airlines requirement When you book a United Airlines (UA) group reservation through GMT, you must add a group Special Service Request (SSR) to the PNR Add group SSR with segment select Add group SSR without segment select 3GRPS(segment number)/tcp(number in party)(space)(group name) 3GRPS1/TCP3 GROUP NAME 3GRPS/TCP(number in party)(space)(group name) 3GRPS/TCP3 GROUP NAME Availability and Sell Group Management Tool quick reference Page 4 of 5

5 MULTI- SEGMENT GMRS The Group Management Tool can handle multi-segment space allocations, with one or more group/blocked segments under one single GMR if the airline supports multiple segment GMRs. Multi-segment GMRs have the following restrictions: Only the airline can initiate multi-segments. The airline pushes the information to the Sabre system and the system creates a GMR. A GMR can accept up to 20 segments on a single airline. (Separate GMRs are necessary when there is more than one airline involved in a group.) Multi-segment GMRs do not appear in the Sabre system s city pair availability displays, even if you search for group space on the specific group flights. You must know the GMR record locater to sell from a multi-segment GMR. You can still use the display GMR formats to search for and display your agency s GMRs. Because multi-segment GMRs do not appear in availability, You can sell from a multi-segment GMR only by including the GMR record locator in the sell entry. Note: This entry automatically sells all segments in the GMR. The resulting GAP indicates all the segments in the GMR. Multi-segment GMRs essentially bundle the group/blocked segments together. All segments in the GMR can only be booked together or cancelled together.
