9 The Journey of your Donation Donate your gently used goods under our covered canopy. A Goodwill employee will greet you at your car and take your items and give you a receipt for you tax deduction. Items donated in Evanston are priced and put out on the sales floor Your items get sorted on site and either priced for the floor or bundled for recycling or sale in bulk. Each Goodwill store can save your community over 2,000,000 lbs from a landfill, saving money and the environment Merchandise is rotated every 4 week Approximately 60% 70% of all items donated get resold and the profit helps support Goodwill s mission. Aside from the deals, shoppers said they also enjoy supporting the Goodwill cause.
