There is a new methodology linking the short and long block part numbers to the Engine Arrangement-Core (ENGINE AR CORE). This means short and long block part numbers will be displayed in the Service Information System (SIS). If you do not find a short or long block part number with the following instructions, call our helpline to confirm at REMAN / / Reman_Help@cat.com. Reman Long and Short Block Lookup Process: 1. Go to SIS main screen and type in a serial number. 2. Click Remanufactured Parts Search (Figure 1). 3. The result shows the correct short and long block part numbers listed under ENGINE AR-CORE (Figure 2). The short and long block data will always be at the top of the page because they are always tied to an engine arrangement level.
