6 workshop Hastings Deering is well-equipped to provide both workshop and field undercarriage services workshop FACILITIES: Hastings Deering operate state-of-the-art facilities catering for all undercarriage service repairs and overhauls. At the forefront of these region-wide facilities are the Mackay and Rockhampton Business Centres, supported by a four-bay undercarriage facility in Brisbane, as well as facilities in Townsville and Darwin FIELD facilities: You are not limited to just workshop servicing however. With undercarriage field service trucks with 150-ton mobile track presses, alongside heavy duty boom trucks, undercarriage technicians can complete just about any undercarriage repair or replacement in the field Equipment and tooling: We possess a large range of track presses including multiple 300T large track presses, 200T small track presses, 150T field pass track presses, track torque turn devices, system 1 track field repair kits, and Cat idler rebuild welders. Our workshops feature full access to bays by overhead cranes ranging from 10T to 20T. A franner crane is available as required for lifts not capable on the overhead cranes. A large variety of specialised stands are available catering for any size or type of undercarriage, including ramps to assist in loading and unloading from transport. 9 Track frame rebuild Our track frame overhaul facility is an outstanding operation that can supply our valued customers with a high quality repair and upgrade on your track frames to reduce machine downtime. The Caterpillar Production System (CPS) is a philosophy and improvement methodology that drives a cultural change to focus on the continuous and relentless elimination of waste in all processes. CPS enables improvement in people (safety), quality, velocity and cost to the maximisation of customer value and satisfaction. CPS encompasses three sub-systems essential to continuous improvement: CPS Operating System CPS Cultural System CPS Management System The application of lean and 6 sigma tools and practices to eliminate waste is focused on making change possible and improving the way we work is focused on creating the measurements and management structure to support continuous improvement.
