Detection Limit Adjusted: Lower Initial Volume Methods Listed (if applicable): ALS Test Code Matrix Test Description Method Reference** BODWT BOD APHA 5210 B Diluted and seeded samples are filled in an airtight bottle and incubated at a specified temperature for 5 days. CLICWT Chloride by IC EPA (mod) Inorganic anions are analyzed by Ion Chromatography with conductivity and/or UV detection. Analysis conducted in accordance with the Protocol for Analytical Methods Used in the Assessment of Properties under Part XV.1 of the Environmental Protection Act (July 1, 11). ECMFWT E. coli SM 9222D A 100mL volume of sample is filtered through a membrane, the membrane is placed on mfcbcig agar and incubated 0.2 C for 24 2h. Method ID: WTTM10 METTCCMSWT Total Metals in by CRC ICPMS EPA 0.2/60A (mod) samples are digested with nitric and hydrochloric acids, and analyzed by CRC ICPMS. Method Limitation (re: Sulfur): Sulfide and volatile sulfur species may not be recovered by this method. Analysis conducted in accordance with the Protocol for Analytical Methods Used in the Assessment of Properties under Part XV.1 of the Environmental Protection Act (July 1, 11). NH3WT Ammonia, Total as N EPA Sample is measured colorimetrically. When sample is turbid a distillation step is required, sample is distilled into a solution of boric acid and measured colorimetrically. NO2ICWT Nitrite in by IC EPA (mod) Inorganic anions are analyzed by Ion Chromatography with conductivity and/or UV detection. NO3ICWT Nitrate in by IC EPA (mod) Inorganic anions are analyzed by Ion Chromatography with conductivity and/or UV detection. PTCOLWT Total P in by Colour APHA 4500P PHOSPHORUS This analysis is carried out using procedures adapted from APHA Method 4500P "Phosphorus". Total Phosphorus is deteremined colourimetrically after persulphate digestion of the sample.
8 Methods Listed (if applicable): ALS Test Code Matrix Test Description Reference Information Method Reference** L CONT D... Job Reference: NINTH LINE PAGE 7 of 7 27AUG15 14:05 (MT) PO4DOCOLWT Diss. Orthophosphate in by Colour APHA 4500P PHOSPHORUS This analysis is carried out using procedures adapted from APHA Method 4500P "Phosphorus". Dissolved Orthophosphate is determined colourimetrically on a sample that has been lab or field filtered through a 0.45 micron membrane filter. SO4ICNWT Sulfate in by IC EPA (mod) Inorganic anions are analyzed by Ion Chromatography with conductivity and/or UV detection. SOLIDSTSSWT Suspended solids APHA 2540 DGravimetric A wellmixed sample is filtered through a weighed standard glass fibre filter and the residue retained is dried in an oven at C for a minimum of four hours or until a constant weight is achieved. TKNWT Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen APHA 4500N Sample is digested to convert the TKN to ammonium sulphate. The ammonia ions are heated to produce a colour complex. The absorbance measured by the instrument is proportional to the concentration of ammonium sulphate in the sample and is reported as TKN. TURBIDITYWT Turbidity APHA 2130 B Sample result is based on a comparison of the intensity of the light scattered by the sample under defined conditions with the intensity of light scattered by a standard reference suspension under the same conditions. Sample readings are obtained from a Nephelometer. **ALS test methods may incorporate modifications from specified reference methods to improve performance.
