2 SIMPLICITY - MODULARITY - PRECISION - EFFICIENCY The pumps series CSA are centrifugal pumps specifically designed for the foodstuff, pharmaceutical, chemical and water treatment industries: - Modular components. - Product wetted parts manufactured in stainless steel type CF-3M / AISI 316L. - Investment casting and electrochemical polishing with manual finishing ensure perfect surface finishing levels with Ra up to 0,5 micron. - Designed and manufactured to ensure the elimination of stagnation zones and ideal for CIP cleaning cycles. - Open impeller with lengthened hub and shim adjustment. - Minimum assembly clearance to reduce the internal recirculation of the liquid. - Different types of supports depending on the constructional and application characteristics. - Grease lubricated ball bearings. - Thanks to the clamp sealing of the casing the pumps are easily disassembled for inspection, cleaning and maintenance purposes; the delivery port can also be turned in all directions. Rev. 00 Through computer design backed-up by CSF INOX experience have enabled the perfect performance and utmost reliability of the pumps manufactured. - Deliveries from 0 to 300 m 3 /h with heads up to 100 m; ideal performance and low NPSH values. - Operating speeds 1450 / 2900 (1750 / 3500 a 60 hz) rpm, variable with incorporated inverter. 14

SEPARATE MOTOR For a self-sufficient choice in compliance with the following standards: - IEC VDE 0530T1 - NF C BS 5000 PART NEMA MG1 PART. 1 REAR CASING COVER Achieved by investment casting, machined and polished according to the relative hygienic standards. IMPELLER With incorporated bush for a better rigidity and cleaning. Manufactured with perfect shapes, thickness and materials and balanced thanks to the investment casting procedure. Electrochemichal polishing and manual finishing for specular surfaces and low roughness values. CASING Volute casing with circular cross section. Perfect development of the shapes ensured by the investment casting procedure. Internal finishing suitable with cover and impeller. Rev. 04

4 APPLICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS, SERIES CSA DESIGNED, TESTED AND APPROVED ACCORDING TO THE EUROPEAN HYGIENIC ENGINEERING & DESIGN GROUP (EHEDG) AND THE SANITARY STANDARDS n to be used mainly by foodstuff and pharmaceutical industries that must conform to sanitary standards. The high quality standard does however mean that these pumps can also be used in all sectors where liquids are to be pumped. Thus modular constructional concepts have been achieved with solutions suitable for all sectors. The choice of the type of open impeller with 6 blades but with minimum assembly clearances means that these pumps can be used with perfectly clean and clear liquids but also with denser liquids or those with suspended particles. Ideal performance and low NPSH values mean that they can be used even in plants with particularly tricky problems. External flushing for cooling. EXECUTION Q COMPACT DOUBLE MECHANICAL SEAL Q Double mechanical seal with circulation of the cleaning and cooling liquid. It is used with products that tend to crystallise, to glue, to harden, to be abrasive, to reach high temperatures and whenever the seal life is limited. The function of the fluxing is to clean, lubricate and cool the seal; the circulating liquid must be clean. If the seal is leaking the fluxing liquid will point out this fault. Rev
