3 Introduction The company «UralActiv» Ltd. manufactures different polymeric vessels and reservoirs from chemical-resistant plastic materials (PP, PE, PVC, PVDF etc.). We produce plastic containers of any form and with different dimensions. On your request the containers from plastic materials can have cylindrical and rectangular form, can be of vertical and horizontal design, and also can be completed with hatches, branch pipes, bends, fittings, pumps and other special equipment. Process container is a leakproof vessel made by welding of plastic sheets (e.g. polypropylene or polyethylene). All vessels are manufactured in accordance with technical specification ТУ PP and PE reservoirs and containers can be used for storing of any products liquids, hard and granular materials. We can manufacture cylindrical and rectangular containers of all dimensions and according to customer s special request and based on customer s drawings or technical specifications. Polypropylene doesn t absorb smells and doesn t pass them to the liquids; it is easy to wash and has almost no incrustations. PP is an excellent dielectric material. As PP material conducts heat hardly the polypropylene reservoirs are good to keep temperature of liquids without using heat insulation. PP material has Sanitary-Epidemiological Conclusion Certificate, therefore any containers made from it can be also successfully used in food industry. Containers from PP sheets have lighter weight as the metallic containers with the same capacity. It is a good advantage if you need to transport containers. The shelf-life of polypropylene containers is in several times greater than the shelf-life of containers from metal. Products are widely used for individual, industrial purposes, in food and chemical industries. The main characteristics of PP are low density, high temperature resistance, high tensile strength, chemical resistance, excellent water resistance, low friction resistance and simply processing. Due to the low weight of polypropylene and its good properties in aggressive medium the PP material is widely used and becomes an optimal solution for many different branches. The wall s thickness and color spectrum can be changed as prior agreed. 2

5 Vertical cylindrical containers Vessels with flat bottom Cylindrical flat-bottom containers of vertical type are made from plastic and are intended for stationary storage both of drinking water and aggressive chemical substances. The containers are made from material which is suitable to contact with food and chemical mediums. The main material for containers, vessels and reservoirs is grey polypropylene RAL7032 and black polyethylene. On your request other materials and their colors are available. Available types of plastic: PP polypropylene; PPs flame-resistant polypropylene; PP-EL-s electrically conductive, flame-resistant polypropylene; PE polyethylene; PVC polyvinyl chloride; PVDF polyvinylidene fluoride. We can manufacture on your request the product with other dimensions. 6 Vessels with conical bottom We produce conic-bottom containers from polymeric materials. They all can be made from strong chemical resistant plastic, for example from polypropylene sheet or polyethylene sheet. Their bottoms have conical form; drain opening is in the lower part of reservoirs. Due to such construction it is possible to use all content of container and sediments are not collecting on the bottom. They are made from thermoplastic sheet material (PP, PE, PVC, PVDF etc.). Plastic containers of rectangular form made from polypropylene or polyethylene sheet are widely used these days both to storage aggressive substances in industries and to storage drinking or industrial water, food in everyday life. Containers from PP have no such disadvantages as metallic vessels. Polypropylene with the thickness 8-15 mm has the same strength characteristics as steel. But PP is more flexible than steel, is more stable regarding repeated bending and has high resistance to impact. The thickness of the wall (5-20 mm) is chosen according to the capacity. It is provided bracing rings for extra stability. The specification of plastic container can be different: fittings, sensors, agitators, heaters and other equipment. The material using in galvanic baths depends on set, concentration and temperature of acids to be processed. Polypropylene baths are the most functional because of their accessibility and good chemical resistance. The PP galvanic baths have stiffening plates, the same of greater size have steel external frame. The size of galvanic baths depends directly on part s dimensions to be processed, for this reason often the galvanic baths are developed and manufactured on specific customer needs. Galvanic baths made from PP are suitable for most types of galvanization: polishing, chromate treatment, zinc-plating, nickel-plating, cadmium-plating, copper-plating, lacquering, brassplating, washing and drying of parts. Drums enable the galvanic processing of small metal products and all hardware, e.g. pegs, bolts, nails, metal fitments etc. Galvanic drum can be included in drum carriage and drum bath. There are producing drums of every size and type according to the dimensions and transport equipment of customer s galvanizing line. Plastic galvanic baths are more reliable than metal or stainless baths, are cheaper than galvanic baths from special types of steel. The mixing of liquids is an important stage of many successful working operations in chemical and other sectors of production. For these purposes special equipment is used: vertical device with mechanical agitator, or reactor. Our company produces chemical reactors from plastic materials (PP, PE, PVC, PVDF) of different forms and constructions. Chemical reactors can be equipped with agitators, level sensors, isolation valves, chemical resistant pipelines, heating elements, control and measuring instruments, inspection hole, pumps and others. Chemical reactors can have cylindrical or rectangular form, can have different capacity and can be vertical or horizontal. The capacity and sizes are specified according to the special technical requirements and drawings provided by the client. This equipment including capacity vessel is used for preparation and/or storage of neutral and chemical aggressive liquids. 13

15 Nutsche filters Nutsche filter (or just Nutsche) is the simplest batch-type filter with cloth filter baffle plate. Nutsches are used to filter (thicken) suspensions and colloidal solutions for small-capacity manufacture. Nutsche filter is a vessel with double bottom. The upper false bottom (or grid) serves to keep the precoat and allows free passage of liquid to the low filter bottom. The suspension moves into the upper part of device (suspension receiver), the sediment remains on filter baffle plate, the liquid (filtrate) from the low part (filtrate receiver) is removed through the bottom connecting pipe. Nutsche is called open filter if it is operated under negative pressure (discharging). If the Nutsche is operated under pressure, it is called closed or pressure filter. The open nutsche filters have 2 types of connection: 1. With the help of receiver-demister (chart 1). The receiver demister is connected to the Nutsche through the connecting pipe placed in upper part of sediment receiver. The receiver demister protects the vacuum pump from enter of liquid and the nutsche filter from the pressure jump; allows regulation of vacuum level during all filtering period. The uploading of sediments and filtrate is carried out after the end of filtering cycle and the shutdown of vacuum. This type of connection requires the nutsche filter with high integrated filtrate receiver. 2. With the help of blow-case (hart 2). The blow-case is connected to the nutsche filter through the lower connecting pipe. It serves as a receiver and collector of filtrate receiver. Blow-case allows to connect several nutsche filters simultaneously. This type of connection requires the nutsches with low filtrate receiver of small-capacity. It allows to reduce the size of equipment and to cut costs. hart 1 hart 2 14

The productivity of the nutsche filters depends on the surface of filter baffle plate, thickness of sediment layer, features of suspension and sediment, vacuum level.

The advantage of pressure filters is the possibility to remove the most liquid from the sediment. As a result the liquid dilutes with wash water not much by the next elutriations. Also nutsche filters have simple design, are easy to use, inspect and control. The disadvantages of the nutsches are the bulking of construction, hand-operated discharge of sediments, limited size of filter surface. Nutsche filters, receiver-demisters and blow-cases are manufactured by UralActiv Ltd. from polypropylene block copolymer or from other thermoplastic materials by agreement with the customer (polypropylene copolymer, polyvinyl chloride, HD polyethylene, polyvinylidene fluoride). The construction of our filters, blow-cases and receiver-demisters is designed according to technical requirements of each customer and allows to solve the most process tasks. At customer's option the nutsche filters can be equipped with wheels, grids to fix the cloth, visual level indicator, inspection openings, and quick-release case with link bolts. receiver-demister 15

17 Blow-case The blow-case is used to connect in one system the filters working under discharging (nutsche filters, drum-type vacuum filters, cassette filters etc.) The blow-case serves as a receiver and collector of filtrate receiver. Blow-case allows to connect several filters simultaneously, protects the vacuum pump from enter of liquid, protects the filters from pressure jump, regulates the vacuum level and filtering rate. The filtrate is removed from the blow-case by the pumps or with the help of compressed air. The muddy filtrate moves into the suspension vessel, the clear filtrate goes further according to the technology. The blow-cases are manufactured by UralActiv Ltd. from polypropylene block copolymer or from other thermoplastic materials by agreement with the customer (polypropylene copolymer, polyvinyl chloride, HD polyethylene, polyvinylidene fluoride). The construction of our blow-cases is designed according to technical requirements of each customer and allows to solve the most process tasks. The materials are chosen according to the operating conditions (aggressive media, operating temperature, load). Our experienced engineers perform complex calculation of the design for equipment according to Russian and worldwide standards. 16

18 Pressure filter Pressure filter is the simplest batch-type filter with cloth filter baffle plate. The difference is in the operation under pressure. Nutsche filters have the pressure difference (moving force of filtering) less than 1 atm. The pressure filters have the pressure difference several atm. It allows fast and effective filtering of colloidal solutions and finely dispersed suspensions. The advantage of pressure filters is the possibility to remove the most liquid from the sediment. As a result the liquid dilutes with wash water not much by the next elutriations. The disadvantages of pressure filters are the bulking of construction, hand-operated discharge of sediments, limited size of filter surface. To prepare the pressure filter for operating takes more time then nutsche filter because of necessity to seal the suspension receiver. The pressure filters are manufactured by UralActiv Ltd. from polypropylene block copolymer or from other thermoplastic materials by agreement with the customer (polypropylene copolymer, polyvinyl chloride, HD polyethylene, polyvinylidene fluoride). The sealing of flange connections for case is made of silicone or fluoroplastic. It serves for leak proofness, reliable and secure operation of our devises. The construction of our filters is designed for each customer separately and allows to solve the most process problems. At customer's option the pressure filters can be equipped with wheels, grids to fix the cloth, inspection openings, and quick-release case with link bolts. 17

Silos, bunkers Silos and bunkers are the reservoirs of cylindrical or rectangular shape with conical bottom, which are used for storage and dosage of granular materials.

Silos and bunkers can have support or can be without it.

Plastic silos are used for storage and dosage of granular materials, fodder and other mobile materials (sand, grain, flour, fodder, granules, cement, coal, road metal).

We can produce silos and bunkers according your dimensions and specification. Silos and bunkers are made from thermoplastic sheets (PP, PE). Silos and bunkers can have support or can be without it. The support can be made from polypropylene, polyethylene or metal depends on the dimensions and volume of reservoir and on operational conditions. Plastic silos are used for storage and dosage of granular materials, fodder and other mobile materials (sand, grain, flour, fodder, granules, cement, coal, road metal). Plastic containers, vessels, reservoirs and metal frames are produced according to the customer s dimensions and meet the personal needs and requirements for the transportation of hazardous substances. The configuration depends on type of liquid to be transported and its concentration. If needed containers, vessels for transporting of aggressive liquids can be equipped with stop valves and safety valves, fittings for installation of monitoring instrumentation, slopping bottom for full draining. 21 Lining of containers by polypropylene sheet The company «UralAktiv» Ltd. can also line the inner and outer surfaces of containers, reservoirs and baths by polymeric materials. Lining by polymers is a coating of any containers, baths, silos and bins which surfaces are exposed to damage effect. Lining by polymers prolongs service life of your containers and vessels in several times. Corrosion, decomposition and other processes of surface damages can cause the complete breakage of container and big costs to replace it. Meanwhile polymeric sheets and chemical resistant plastic materials are the simple and high-quality solution of this problem. Why is lining by plastic needed? Every production having metallic containers for working solutions is under the threat of failure. Corrosion of containers with metallic surfaces (baths, vessels, reservoirs, bins) is a continuous process without weekends, operational downtime and smoke breaks. To prevent this danger it is needed to order lining of surfaces by PE or PP promptly. The chemical resistant plastic sheets are lined in container; the welding of PP sheets is carried out manually. This ensures the good sealing of surface. The lining by polypropylene material has 2 functions: it protects the surface of bath (container or reservoir) from exposure of working solutions and provides good conditions for chemical reactions, which are carried out without mixture of metal oxides of bath s inner surface. 22 Chemical resistant PVC coatings of metal Protective polymeric coatings of metal: We can make PVC (polyvinylchloride) coating for metal. The PVC coating of metal ensures chemical and corrosion resistance of the whole product. For electroplating industry we can offer coating from plastisol as a corrosion-preventing and chemical resistant covering. The coatings are used for stable insulation in electrolytes, to protect from extra metal deposits on the suspections of galvanic baths, drums, etching baskets and for other purposes in engineering industry. Chemically-stable coatings from PVC are resistant to all organic solvents, hot and cold solutions and to many acids and alkalis. The characteristics of corrosion protective coatings for metals: 1.
