3 Your presenter Tyson Moore Director, Grant Thornton Kansas City, MO Executive Summary Tyson Moore is a director with Grant Thornton s Advisory Services practice in Kansas City, specifically aligned with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Technology Solutions group. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, he was a director with MarketSphere Consulting until its acquisition by Grant Thornton in September Moore has more than 10 years of experience and specializes in providing financial and implementation consulting solutions across a broad range of industries. His product expertise includes PeopleSoft Financials & HCM, Oracle Planning, Hyperion Financial Management, Data Relationship Management, Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA/OBIEE), and Microsoft SharePoint. He brings extensive experience managing multiple solution implementations, ranging from custom development to packaged systems. Moore has led numerous complex multisite implementations and has a proven track record of delivering projects on or ahead of time, and on or below budget. 12 What is a Payment Request? A Payment Request is a self-service feature, available in PeopleSoft 9.2, which provides end users with the ability to enter miscellaneous expenses for payment, without requiring any assistance from Accounts Payable. 12

14 Payment Request Template A Payment Request Template is used to define the fields displayed on the payment request and the information required for processing 14

15 Payment Request Center The Payment Request Center is a centralized page where users can add, edit, view and cancel their payment requests. 15

16 Types of Users Involved Three types of users can access the Payment Request Center Requesters: create payment requests via Payment Request Center Reviewers: review/edit submitted requests Approvers: approve submitted requests Accounts Payable is involved at the level of reviewing, correcting and auditing transactions prior to payment 16

22 New Supplier Request The New Supplier Request page allows users to enter supplier details when creating a Payment Request 22

23 Approval Process Approval methods available for payment requests include: Workflow Approval: Users can enable the workflow framework to approve the payment request. The approver having the Reviewer role will have access to the payment request pages to make necessary changes to the request and/or approve the payment request. Review before Workflow Approval: Users can enable a review/edit process for reviewers before the payment request goes through workflow approval. AP Review No Workflow: Users can enable a review/edit process for users with the Reviewer role before the payment request goes through Voucher Build. 23

25 Important Items to Note The system only allows for one payment request template per business unit Payment terms cannot be selected on payment requests The New Supplier Request functionality is not automated, but rather a user would have to manually enter the new supplier in to the system based on information gathered on payment request (NOTE: if this route is taken, a user would have to go back in to the payment request to manually select this new supplier to allow for processing to continue) 25
