1 La Plaza s FIESTA Indianapolis, the premier Latino cultural celebration in Indiana since 1980, is held every third Saturday of September at the American Legion Mall in downtown Indianapolis. FIESTA Indianapolis celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month and the Latino community in Indiana. Attended by approximately 15,000 people, this family event takes place from noon until 10 p.m. and is free to the public. The main objectives of La Plaza s FIESTA Indianapolis are: To celebrate and share the Hispanic Culture with the entire community Enhance the cultural fabric of the city Expand Cultural Tourism in Indianapolis Disseminate information to the Hispanic Community FIESTA Indianapolis th Anniversary La Plaza s 37 th FIESTA Indianapolis will take place on September 16, 2017 and will involve the following: Entertainment/Recognition Dancing, Music and Fun!: The Main Stage will host a mixture of traditional and current sounds of mariachi, flamenco, tango, salsa, and merengue, along with a variety of bands and other performers will fill the Main Stage.

2 Master of Ceremonies will recognize sponsors between each act. Food Plaza The dining opportunities include foods from many Latin American countries and Tex-Mex. Information Booths Along the sides of the American Legion Mall, there are a variety of vendors, corporate information and community service booths. Cultural organizations are encouraged to bring display items to enlighten the public about Hispanic cultures and services they offer. Health and Wellness Fair The fair offers a venue to provide Hispanics and the community at large culturally relevant health information on major illnesses disproportionately impacting Hispanics and an opportunity to provide free medical screenings. Information will focus on health promotion, illness prevention and connections to local and national resources available to assist Hispanics in getting proper healthcare. Family and Children s Activities Children will enjoy interactive activities designed with families in mind. Activities may include: Passport to the Americas (six cultural tents representing different Latin American/Iberian countries), Radio Disney, Colts Play 60, and Indy Eleven Soccer, and arts and crafts. Cultural booths offer information and activities about Latin American and Iberian culture.

Sales, promotion or any form of advertising of competing products in the category will be prohibited during any La Plaza s FIESTA Indianapolis related activities and during the event.
